Was he injured or just not selected/dropped?
Would have to have been injured to resort to using him.

Riolo was a big loss too.

Assuming our spine is potentially Ison, Riolo, Pollard and insert Hooker - probably won’t be Healey who should play for the Jets going forward. It should be an improvement

Healey will age out.

Flegg hooker should be a combo of Wilson/Brailey.

Have they been relegated?
Although I also think they may have been tweaking the SL systems, so maybe not?

Wonder if even down a division being a (comparatively) bigger club they may still pay better than Jets if he’s aged out of junior programs without an NRL contract

I reckon that would be the case. Probably more exposure, bigger crowds etc. too.

Down a division not sure he’ll get bigger exposure or crowds than if he signed a contract with Jets (assuming had option to)

Can’t get any less exposure than what the Jets get now. What did they have? One Kayo game and two live streams on Facebook?

Last season not even all the SL games were broadcast, although I think that’s changing now.

Feel like I watched more than 2 jets games on Facebook, certainly not arguing Jets are prime time viewing though.

Just unsure what the benefits are to him if they are relegated, besides if more money (throw in at 20 he might enjoy going and living overseas for a bit, may have fam in UK etc)
Those benefits could be enough to make it worth his while of course

I honestly thought Kayo would have tried to sort out a broadcast deal with NSWRL by now, QRL as well but think 9 actually shows the Qcup up there Burgo?

It really seems like a wasted opportunity for mine, especially with all the expansion talks going on.
Investing more $$ into Cup seems a great way to keep talent in the game and developing.

How many new subscribers does Cup get Kayo?
Or in what way are they even covering costs?

They do get some funding to stream lesser known sports/events you can watch for free but Cup wouldn’t fall into that.

9 makes money whenever you watch 9.
Kayo makes money if you’re subscribed or not.

Yep.

I think they'd do it if games were on before NRL games at the same ground. Cuts down a lot of costs that way.

I can see why they don't bother.

Ch9 / Kayo show a game a week, but we also have a streaming service. $50 for the year. Every game. Q Cup, 20’s, 18’s, 16’s, girls, women.
