I hope he goes well. Really good player, but was stuck behind a few at the Sharks. Was part of our system for quite a few years I believe. Joined at maybe 15 or 16.

This is how the salary cap works. Good players leave good teams for more money or a bigger role or profile.

I’m just saying from Cody’s standpoint he likely saw an ever longer pathway to higher grade footy and saw opportunities elsewhere

Haha yep. I just assumed we'd have a 2024 version like we do with player signings/squads/etc each year.
