A bit of a summary for those who can't be bothered watching...

First Half
Brutal first 25 minutes from the Sharks. Probably close to 75-80% possession for the Bulldogs, and the Sharks only sets were coming out of their own end. Dropped balls from Hosking and Cocco didn't help. Some paper thing defence from the edges, and Taukamo was a turnstile at the back. 24-0 Dogs.

After a Bulldogs error, the Sharks played the ball in the opposition half for the first time right on the 27 minute mark of the game. Dixon scores on this set after a great pass from Taukamo and converts his own try. 24-6.

Some nice play from Waitere and Taukamo from the kick-off leads to a great run and quick ptb from Fa'atli. This gives them momentum and they charge up field on this set, and a few tackles later Tully Wilton sets up Hosking for a try next to the posts. 24-12.

That's where the scoring should have ended, but on the next set Wilton puts in a bludger of a kick to give the Dogs a 7 tackle set with 45 seconds to go, and this happened. 30-12 Dogs.

Second Half
Five minutes into the second half, the Bulldogs start to get quick play the balls through the middle. Fa'atili makes a nice cover tackle and gets put on report for a hip drop. Dogs take the 2.

2 minutes later some nice work from Healey puts Taukamo away.

They miss the kick. 32-16 Dogs with 25 to go.

Around the 46 minute mark, right centre Chris Vea'ila went down with a knee injury after landing awkwardly. He managed to stand up under his own weight and was helped off, but he didn't return.

Soon after, Takaumo goes in again from a nice scrum play. 32-22. That's the last time the Sharks would trouble the scorers though.

With 7 minutes to go, Stonestreet lets this one bounce to give the Dogs a 40/20. He had an otherwise solid game, but this was a forgettable moment for him. A foot on the side-line there could have turned the game in the Sharks' favour, but he got it wrong. Fitz might need to get him a rulebook for Christmas.

The stream crashed after that :( ... but the Dogs scored from that set to put the game to bed, and again on the following one. 44-22 is the final.

Nice summary thanks. After all my questions about the game time, I missed it.

Takaumo looks slick in those videos. Although I'm not sure if that was him doing the tackle on the last try on first half... not so good.

Yeah - that was him. He had similar efforts on a few of their tries.

Bulldogs will take it out imho
They are a fair chance. Oloapu is a handy addition now that the Dogs NSW Cup team is out.

Would be nice if the Sharks could get back one of their halves or even bring Puru back in. The kicking game was a huge difference in this game. Dogs #7 O'Neill had it on a string.

Defence aside, that was probably the best Taukamo has looked in any game I've seen him play. Positive signs. He's only 18 (I think - late 2004 birthday) so we don't need to be too worried about the missed tackles at this point. He's also giving up almost 3 years in age to some of the other players.

Sharks play Parra at Leichardt this Saturday.

And of course we leaked a try seconds before half time.

Credit their not down as much as last week but that's more that the Dogs were far better than the Eels.

Need possession to turn around big time in the second half

Flegg playing pretty poor.

I know he typically plays fullback but the half back needs to never play 7 again
Yeah, he's not a 7. Really struggled last week to get involved or have any impact.

Sharks record with Cody Fuz playing halfback was 8-0.
Record without him is 6-9.

SS foot on the line was a big turnaround.

Disappointing finish. Our in straight sets :(

Anyone pining for SS in first grade any time soon should watch the last 15-20 of that game.

Poor game all around. End of sets from both halves were awful. Got what they deserved.

Yeah SS is a while away based on that game. You expect more if they’re first grade ready
