If anyone asks at the end of the year what our worst miss tackle was, I'd vote for the miss by Bird and Townsend to let Widdop stroll through. It was defence reminiscent of an Under 20s game. Apart from the missed tackle it was a very poor read and it let them skip away to a 12 point lead when we were coming back into it.

I haven't seen Jack tackle that bad all year, in fact I think he's been defensively outstanding. But that was just awful Saturday night.

Both games he has played at Kogarah he was poor. Might be mental issue playing dragons at home

Ok, so I've had a lot of time to calm down after the game...

HOW THE **** DID THOSE PRICKS SCORE THAT MANY POINTS AGAINST US AND WIN?!

In all seriousness, St George really came to play. I don't remember us being that bad in terms of errors or penalties, we just couldn't get it done. This game reminded me of Manly in round 26 last year. It didn't have the same significance but the circumstances were fairly similar. Really need to win the next two, no questions asked.

Got to move on guys, **** it, that is the Dragons high for the season. That's it for them, when they look back at 2016 they go "well we did well that one game against the sharkies."

I know it's not a great sign about being in a form slump but we will have bigger fish to fry coming up. I think the boys are already thinking finals and that's half the problem now. They won't be going on full throttle in Defense because there is no need.

We need to do just enough to hold second and step it up in the finals. No good going back to full tilt now putting bodies on the line for these games.

I agree with you there mate. The team looks like it's just going through the motions until the semis and a bit of complacency has set in. I'm not worried. The team has shown what it has in them and that they can bring the required intensity.

But like mentioned before. If we do limp to the finals and go out in straight sets was it a mistake to extent flannos contract? Doubt he'll get another chance like he has now and if we go out in straight sets then maybe he isn't the coach we need.

Agree with the last two posts. I would be treating our round 26 game against Melbourne as a final. Fire up for that which should be a good launching pad for the finals. In may not be such a bad thing if we have to win that game to finish second, a bit of pressure would do the boys good.

Yeah that was the surprising thing, a contract extension at this time of year. It may of been Better for a review after the year has completed.

Flanno has done well in recruitment and this season so far, but still we haven't done ****. And I think Flanno and the boys know it.

If the winning continued it would still mask our failures on field aswell as people will say they have peaked to early rah rah.

I look at Canberra and they are playing well no doubts but have they peaked early? the last two games have been against 1 and 2, so did they play there grand finals? They are either going to hold this momentum until gf or have a fade.

You just have to bring it when it counts.

I totally agree about moving on, but Sorry lads I disagree about the next games coming up.
I think we need to start to build into the finals series now otherwise we will get monstered and end up out the back door in a hurry.
I think we've had the "loss we had to have" but we now need to be consistently better week after week from here on in and build some momentum going into the finals.

I'm not saying these games are not important, I want top 2. But I don't want going in like they are must wins, burning fuel we don't have just to go in with another win. It's like setting the world on fire in the heats and don't win gold.

Do what we need to keep 2nd but don't go all out, risk injury or further our player fatigue.

Your are also right in keeping some momentum, but it's a fine line between win at all cost or play well and survive the games left

For me, its not a bad thing that they lost these couple of games, It is a good wake up call, right when we need it. I do hope Tagatese can be back for the finals. But I do think we can also be fine without him.

Of the games left, realistically, we want to win at least 2/3. Enough wins to get some momentum before the finals.

Losing some games was crucial to make them have to put in more at training again and regroup and refocus.
