I used to tip about 2 to 3K into our club each year. Seats, merch, meals, etc. I'll renew my seats for next year, but that's it. And not because I want to support the joint, although that's a by-product of any renewal. I want to keep the seats so when the ASADA crooks are punted I can get back to enjoying the footy for many more years. Been a member of the club much longer than any current player or official, and I'll be there long after they're all gone.

Apologies folks if someone has already pointed this out but I've only just found out renewing your membership if a hell of a lot cheaper than if signing up for the first time, its still an increase for me but only around 15%, not the 40% I was thinking.

So if you were a member in 2013 ring the club to find out what it is to get the same package again for 2014 because the prices on the website are based on a new member joining, the down side is I had a few mates who I had pretty much convinced to join up on the same deal as us & get the family package but they have canned it, the Sharks lost a potential 12 x new members.

Friggin' ridiculous. So much for the new, prosperous age.

FMD, just spent 45 minutes on the website trying to renew. I need to change 2 of my 4 seats (due to a staffer allocating me two seats last season that were miles apart from each other!), but other than that it should be a straightforward transaction. Nope. Not presented with the renewing price (for the seats I want to KEEP), but I do get offered the much cheaper renewal price on the ones I want to move. And no parking option? And a new 1.95% credit card surcharge?

My bill will be up by over $300. Is there an extra game? that's the only way I'll wear it.

Exactly. Until there is ticket scarcity, there is no demand issue. Supply>Demand.

Im confident there is an inelastic demand of memberships, thus the club will actually be making more money next season despite the price increases

for a start we have 1 extra home game next season, ie more entry, so if you work out what you paid per game in 2013 to what you will pay for 2014 its gunna be more, but not tonnes. nearly the equivilent of 1 or 2 beers per game.

im getting the same package as last year (flexi 5). but will be ordering 3 of them, a gals pals, a mini mermaids and 2 shark nets. so imspending about 500 more on memberships this time round, to standon the hill

Did i miss that they increased the general admission membership to $200 bucks now? I just received my membership booklet showing me all the memrship options etc and it says 200 now for the GA. I know its only 5 bucks but that must have only been recent?

Oh and of all the players they associate with the GA membership they put ****ing Jeff Robson next to it -_-

Should be 195 for renewing member. I think 200 is price for new member hence the $5 difference

Jeff Robson is the perfect GA membership poster boy. All the boys on the hill love calling out his name

anyone got a round about price on gate entry this season? i plan on a flexi 5 but wont wanna miss the local derby, so paying $110 for it, plus say 35-40 bucks for season tickets it might be worth gettin the 12 tickets and scalping what i cant use haha

Pretty sure it was 30. I remember doing the sums in my head cause flexi 5 worked out noticeably better

Ofcourse sometimes they have specials like 2 for 1 GA tickets and $20 GA occasionally
