A - I don't mind if it's more expensive, it's supporting your club, plus the stuff inside the packages looks better than any other year

Im sure no one here or any decent sharks fan would have had trouble with supporting the club and a slight increase would have been sufficient.

But some people simply cannot afford to support the club and struggled even with last years prices. With the recent price changes a lot of people will be turned off with the high and unnecessary increases. Your average footy fan that isn't a die hard will look at those prices and find better places to put their hard earned.

some people need a punch in the face with the "support your club" strategy...

well sorry ****s, i aint on a 6 figure job and i pay child support. so if the club want my membership, it will be at a reduced rate because they hiked my seat up 50%

I'm thinking of upgrading but like sharkyboy not as much as I wanted to. I wanted to get a cage membership but will either stick with interstate or upgrade to G/A.

The only good that will come out of this is that we can all stand together on the hill and drink instead of being separated.

But we could of done that in the cage... :(

I can see their mindset. Thinking the seated members will renew regardless, but keeping the flexi, kids, country, shark net etc affordable attracts new members. Seems the new honchos care more about getting new members than keeping existing. **** if they increased by 10% across the board i think itd be alright.

AND a loyalty system should also be in place, so for every year you are a member u save a fewmore dollars.

And snow i wasnt havin a go at u before, i was talkin more about people like me, id haveno right to bitch about aprice hike given the dollars i chose to spend on booze and merch that i didnt really need. I understand ur position

Yep, you also have those like me who have significant travel expenses just to get to the games.

I'm renewing at this stage. The pricing in the Peter Burns stand is still very reasonable.

Will consider upgrading to the ET stand if we can get enough seats together.

Just on the cage price hike - Perhaps the cage should consider moving to the Southern Stand if that's cheaper and try to create an english super league type atmosphere. They would certainly seem louder from there with the echo.

I hope no sharks fans cancel. Especially ones who care enough to post on a sharks forum. We all know the club needs cash and needs members. While the price hike for the cage seating is astounding, it's not the same across the board. There are other options. Stick solid.

I have always thought that if everyone who is a supporter should get a Sharknet membership. For me that is the bare minimum of support as honestly most of us spend $70 in crap at least a month.

I think anything you do over that should be seen as a bonus not a given money is tough always has been for most and always will be.

I am not one to bag the club even when they probably deserve it but I really think there are certain parts of this membership offering that have missed the mark.

Espically the CSSC membership. The club should be offering incentives to get all the loud gronks together in one place. When the players say the atmosphere was great at games 90% of that is the CSSC.

Think they deserved a bit better.

I honestly cannot see how they wouldn't want as many of the most passionate fans who arguably provide a hell of a lot of revenue in beer and food are not getting the best deal at the ground.

Wouldn't 3-4 bays of the craziest sharks fans on the piss (who behave themselves) provide some of the best atmosphere in the league, providing excitement for the players and encourages more fans to wanna join in or become a member? Like this absolutely school grade bull****. I know at the end of the day its all about money for the club, but a happy customer does more than a customer who pays a little extra and will get the same experience they get every year.

We as Cronulla supporters shouldn't be surprised though, really.

Renewing(not rewnewing) -no gripe, but interstate membership only so no big outlay.I'm guessing most people will renew, then just spend less discretionary Y on Sharkstore type stuff and will not upgrade Jerseys etc.

i have never seen so much bickering, its all over Facebook and twitter. Yay more negative news.

go check out other teams membership prices, we had it cheap, now we don't.

If you want the club to be as big as you all hope, and have professional staff and a great stadium with an even better roster, then buy a membership.

I know it went up alot for some memberships, but what can the club do? leave everything down. Hard times.

i just hate seeing everyone whinge, league has always been expensive i just deal with it.

I have 6 people joining for the first time today, cant be to bad,

not on the bandwagon

I can handle increases, but increases of 20% and more and without notice or a reason given I can't.
