My argument isn't about the ticket price in isolation. The True Blue GA, individual CSSC memberships ect when broken down on per game $ and considering you do get a pack with some Sharks goodies in work out better than paying each week. I don't have a problem with them. The Flexi-5 worked our brilliantly for me last year and I thought was a great buy.

However the overall game day including anything you have to buy at the ground (beer is a given for us) is not great value. So prices for certain memberships go up because all of a sudden they are re-categorized and deemed "undervalued" yet will they review their price for a simple ****en hotdog and deem that overpriced? Are they going to improve the service? Give us something worth watching at half-time?

The NRL as a whole for far too long has thought it has a better product than it actually does. I'm not just speaking for myself, I somewhat oblige the over priced items in the interests of a great drunken time out at the footy, without a care (other than the score board) and at my club which I support. However many fans are turned off and bringing a family along would be no small task.

Btw I know all about the drunk prick yelling abuse at a bloke whos misses you used to know - I was standing right next to you ;) Great times

The thing with the seating, CSSC in particular. If you go to 12 games per year at $385, that works out at a bit over $30 bucks a ticket.......Whats normal GA if you pre-order from ticketek? Or buy on the day, $25-30 bucks. So at $385 a season ya stll better off in the CSSC than just buying a ticket every second week. Although, if you are on the corner with us, you get ya moneys worth in listening to some drunk prick yelling abuse at a bloke whos missus I used to know who got beaten up by an ex sharks player.........now that is a day at the footy

Haha talk about old memories, what's "she" up to these days? Hahaha still rootin all the footy lads?

How dare you come in here trying to talk sense, quoting numbers and ****. This forum isn't about that. It's about being a ****. Piss off with your wimpy rationale.

Had flexi 5 this year and was thinking about downgrading to the Country/interstate pack. But for $10 more the flexi is better value. Plus the Canberra game is always at the end of the season at some **** time (7:30 pm on a Sunday this year ).

I'll get the flexi 5 and probably only attend 2 games. If I were a local I couldn't see myself going for anything but a season pass. I don't think I'd fork out an extra $600 for the platinum for a jersey and a meet and greet though

I agree with you, Gards. Sure, we almost doubled our member base which is fantastic, but our average crowd in 2012 was 13,234, in 2013 it was 13,470....so the ground on average is 65% full. Where is the supply and demand?

Most clubs, or more importantly the NRL, need to do something to increase crowd figures.

Edit: Only two clubs in the NRL had an average crowd of over 20k this year. In the AFL only two clubs had an average under 20k and they were the two new clubs (GWS and Gold Coast). Hopeless really.

Exactly. Until there is ticket scarcity, there is no demand issue. Supply>Demand.

There's around 9000 seats. Keep that in mind when looking at attendance / membership numbers.

I don't know which sections would have sold out, but I can confidently say that neither the concourse or the southern stand would have. The ends of both were not full most of the time. I doubt the PB stand would have either. The ET stand may have though.

Apologies folks if someone has already pointed this out but I've only just found out renewing your membership if a hell of a lot cheaper than if signing up for the first time, its still an increase for me but only around 15%, not the 40% I was thinking.

So if you were a member in 2013 ring the club to find out what it is to get the same package again for 2014 because the prices on the website are based on a new member joining, the down side is I had a few mates who I had pretty much convinced to join up on the same deal as us & get the family package but they have canned it, the Sharks lost a potential 12 x new members.

And I can also add that they also lost 8 new members (2 families)
