Another glorious svg performance
It sure was and Stanaway didn't do a bad job either, after being away for a while. Yeah my Redbulls!! #97 💪🏁🏆 Really gonna miss SvG when he heads to the US next year. I was heart broken for 888 and especially 88.

Let's see if SvG will be too messy to face the media tomorrow morning, like he was after last years win...

Yeah that was devastating for Broc Feeney, for such a simple issue with the gear shift tower. He was definitely in contention for top spot, he’d been very quick all weekend.

He's the best. Just stopped in Albury for the night for my annual pilgrimage. Doing a pit walk tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully it's good.

Sure you were the star of Glamour on the Grid DJ

Another Aussie in F1. Jack Doohan got the seat at alpine for next season.

**** yeah thats fantastic. I remember him from his karting days before he headed to the UK as a teen.

The Aussie count might stay at 2 though, its getting harder to see a spot for Danny Riccardo on the grid.

We going back to three brands in 2026. Toyota’s joining Supercars. Walkinshaw Andretti United will be the flagship team for Toyota (currently running Mustangs driven by Chaz Mostart and Ryan Wood). They’ll be driving GR Supras.

It never felt right for Walkinshaw Racing (formerly the Holden Racing Team and Mobile Racing, Peter Brock’s old team) to have that Ford logo soil its paintwork, while it might not be a Holden or Chev badge in 2026, at least it wont be a blue oval on a car in a spot that means everything to old Brocky and Holden fans.

Aren't the Ford Mustangs and Holdens/Chev/GM Supercars essentially identical anyway, same engine, chassis ect. It's just aesthetics like bodywork and badging that differ?

If Toyota are going to run actual GR Supras that adds some interest. The Supra is similar to a BMW Z4 underneath

It would be great to see this series go back to being a proper touring car series with a bunch of different brands running more modestly tuned cars and there would be less financial barriers for entry. The cars out there at the moment are absolutely nothing like the road cars you would go and buy in a dealership and are extremely expensive machines

However it does provide close racing with the machinery close to parity and the driver plays a bigger part in the result than say F1 where the gap between the good and bad teams/cars is gigantic.

I would still prefer different types of cars with various strengths and weaknesses going at it though.
