I love Steve Rogers as much as the next man, but I haven't heard him mentioned anywhere but this forum.

It definately won't be sludge.

I agree about Benji's choices.

Sorry to say, but I don't see any Kiwis being added anytime soon.

My pick for the 8th Immortal is Meninga.

-14 years at the top
-3 premierships
-the sheer size of man (is there any centre that comes close in comparsion - past or present?)
-and the fact the he didnt fade towards the end of his career. Anybody else would of spent a couple of years in the forwards as the end was aproaching, but not Mal!

And there just the reasons I've come up with quickly.

I reckon he was better then Wally, and he's in there. So Mal is a must!

LOL

You obviously had trouble with mathematics at school.

Yeah you're right with the four Kangaroo Tours - 82,86,90,94

So how many years are there between 1982 and 1994? Don't forget he made his Origin debut in 1980.

You fool!

Can I just add this? If I was an Olympic swimmer that swam at the 2000,04,08 Olympics, that would make me a 3 time Olympian. Did I have an 8 year career, or a 12 year career?

Over to you dragons.....

Steve Rogers, the prince of centres. You know I think he may have been one of the only players capable of playing any position on the field (except prop) and still have been close to the top of the tier. He was a very strong tackler and a lot quicker than you'd think, matched a young ET in a 100m sprint after he was already retired. He could easily slot into the halves, played lock, would have been wasted on the wing, would love to have seen him at fullback (perhaps he played there and someone can correct me)

In todays tele
Right now, Meninga and Johns are shortest-priced for the gong, with St George legend Norm Provan and Coote in the mix. Others set to make the list include Peter Sterling, Alfie Langer, Ken Irvine and Steve Rogers.
