Only other one that would be close is the Peach. Not sure he really deserves immortal status though (In my eyes he always will be).

Gal will definitely be next but I would have no issue at all with Peach becoming a Sharks' immortal at some point.

So I believe the new inductees are named tomorrow night.

I'd go with Messenger and Provan but I think they'll pick Messenger and Finger.

Does this actually make them immortal or is it just a Channel 9 thing? Creeping me out.

They are literal immortals so they never die. Except for the ones that have already died.

After a nuclear apocalypse, all that will remain will be cockroaches and Joey trying to score some pingas

Ridiculous. They're going to predictably dilute the **** out of the concept.

Ok I’m fine with them putting in the pre-war guys as a catch up.

But Kent said last night it’s now going to be up to 2 every 4 years...

Thanks NRL. Concept will be worthless. Add one a decade. Maybe 2 if absolutely needed. These ****s can’t pass up a money making scheme.

I reckon the magazine did a pretty good job with this in the past, despite what people with other agendas said. The NRL are doing their best to butcher it quickly.

I must go against the train of NRL hate on this one. Usually I'm right on the hate bandwagon.

I think they took the opportunity after taking control of the Immortals to finally rectify the injustice that was only considering 1945 onwards. How can you have an immortals concept of the sport and only ever consider half of it's history, absurd.

They absolutely had to fix that and they've done it in a one off. Props to them for that and risking the flak.

Up to 2 players doesn't necessarily mean they will add 2 players every 4 years.

I'd wait on the crucifixion just yet....
