Not bad but there’s only room for one poet on this forum fella.

Franky the Tanky is large and not lanky, without help from Bronson or even from Danky
He can’t turn on a hanky which makes all of us cranky, except for old egg, who’s got him in his spank banky

Let’s not get carried away with one trial game. The kid just missed a full year of footy, just played his first game ever under the 6-again rule and first (to my knowledge) against men.

His first job is to beat out Hazelton, Raper, Dillon, Vasquez and Hamlin for playing time at the Jets. If he’s playing ahead of those guys after 6-8 weeks of Cup we’ll know he is trending in the right direction.

There once was a Sharks forum poet,
And didn't he bloody well know it!
That's until the time, burgess spun a rhyme,
And told poor old Chadley to blow it.

Rap battles aside, Pele does have his work cut out for him

Not sure how Dillon is looking but does have a handful of NRL matches to his name

At this stage we could see Jets forward pack something like
Vasquez, Paterson, Dillon
Carr, Wilton
Hamlin

then bench of Magoulias, Pele, Hazelton & Raper
That's still Milne unaccounted for too, assuming he sticks with Jets if we don't sign him.

Does however mean Pele can focus on playing a similar role as he would in first grade. Short powerful bursts, with a focus on keeping active and keeping speed up off the ball as well as on it.

Pele who is top 30 will probably get priority of those not Top 30 imo.

And I can’t see Billy not starting

Re: Pele I can 100% see him not starting behind two other guys with NRL experience who make more sense as starters, when Pele is a good fit for an impact bench role. If he can show deserves to start over them then good on him though.

Re: Mags you're probably right but based on that trial I'd have him behind Hamlin (who also has more top grade experience than Billy even if overseas)

Oh come on. Read it again. The meter is all out of whack mate. It's an absolute **** job. No offence Burgess.

Haha all good mate. The metre is fine btw. Just needs to be read out aloud at the correct rhythm.

First and last one from me - I promise.

Dillon isn't a Sharks contracted player and Vasquez isn't top 30 (or has he been upgraded)

The club is going to prioritise the development of a Top 30 player over the above. In saying that I do see Pele as that impact player atm so coming off the bench might be the best approach anyway.

Not sure what the relationship with the Jets exactly is, presumably they are not required to play Sharks top 30 players as starters to the detriment of their team.
Especially, as I said, I think it makes sense for Pele to play of the bench as low minute impacts is his best chance of playing NRL currently. Staring Pele just because he is a Sharks top 30 player I don't think happens. Probably does make sense Billy would start for Jets over Hamlin though, even if he is going good.

Works how I pronounce them
