I listened to John Morris earlier today, he said that McInnes was signed to play lock and that if he wanted to play hooker we wouldn’t have gone any further with negotiations

Thanks for helping him get to the sharks coach! Love your work.

Gee that's classy from Bomber. Strong, clear position and great for Blake to hear

Saints more keen on a bloke on a rape trial than their gut busting clean skin skipper. What a place.

Apparently bomber is doing everything possible to get him here this year according to a radio station in Sydney who supposedly made contact with him today.

I don’t know how our cap is sitting but don’t we have 3 spots to fill?

Which means we must have some cap space free? Billy M has no future here it seems so he’ll most likely be offered and maybe Williams?

Yep.

Also, it keeps the forwards on their toes. 2 workhorses in McInnes and Tolman mixed with forwards like Graham Talakai and Rudolph is good. Leaves no room for players like Nikora and Williams etc to hide

You rate the signing ?

Yep I do.

Was initially a bit miffed at 4 years but am OK with that now.

He's 100% what we need in the middle

Yeah I wish we would move away from such long term contracts we’ve all seen how wrong it can turn ..let’s hope this one works in the clubs favour

I'm ok with 4yrs for some players in some circumstances. This is 1 of those times.

He's a seasoned first grader whose built his career off hard work, effort, leadership, good character etc. on & off the field. He's comng into his peak at 27 with no injury concerns & at fair market value if $600k is the figure we're believing. With the speed up of the game I believe $600k will be unders.

Just heard him speak on BSB. Sounded very positive about playing lock and also playing alongside Brailey. Stated that legends like Lewis and Gal around the club also swayed him. Love to see him here this year. Just the sort of player we need

I think it’s pretty risky. The bit that annoys me is that the four years doesn’t start until next year, so you’re really trying to predict how good someone is going to be in 5 years.

That’s a long time. Longer than most NRL careers.

Agree, but my guess is we offered 3yrs he wanted 4, threw in the extra yr cause A) We think we a chance to get him this yr and B) I reckon at this stage, the Coin appears reasonable, if not slightly in our favour, barring injuries/form of course.
