I must admit that I've recently changed my whipping boy vote.
Nikora is a safer bet, you know he will get picked every week but the bloke just might be on the improve. Imagine having a whip with no one to crack though?
As for Trindall, his performances are all over the place. Needs to show consistency back in NSW Cup - if he can't deliver it at that level it isn't going to be any easier for him in firsts.
Yes I have gone a bit sour on him very quickly but there are just so many issues in his game right now and they show up nearly every time he plays, i really am seeing and feeling the trend with him now. I don't think his mentality has adjusted to first grade or that he really believes he can be our starting half.
There are young halves around that play and compose themselves in a more mature way to him is another way to look at it. He gets frustrated easily, has brain snaps with the ball and misses tackles we need him to make. Will also force passes that aren't on.
I did like the look of him next to Hynes in the All Stars though. I think he just needs to settle himself down a bit and not go for the big play every attacking set and learn to build some pressure. Show some guile and patience and use that big boot and side step and that cut out ball when it's on.
