I'm not sure about Nu at hooker, he never looks keen to have a little run. Just run at Korbin and put a step on, holy **** you don't even need a quick play the ball.
Brailey was heaps better than him, very happy with Braileys game

Probably 5 bombs to Feki's wing and not one to Lee. Without trying to be funny that is Jeff Robson material.
Did u watch first Half? We bombed to lee's side but Maloney was under pressure and cudnt get it right

Anyways decent effort tonight, broncs will get better but we will improve more. I was encouraged by a lot of what I saw. Only downer was nu being meh

It's round 1

U shud all be happy with brailey at least

That accidental offside killed us - we had em on the ropes. Some promising signs. Good games from Chad, Bird, Lewis, and an exceptional debut from Brailey. Add Holmes and a little luck and we win that. Onto next week!

Brailey was impressive again. I think the edge defense was very bad, but we are missing a fullback and have a big gumby on the right wing wouldn't help. I liked Fifita getting a lot of minutes, that said I don't think Prior got enough (only got 45 instead of 50-55), Lewis definitely didn't need to play 80.

If Flanno just switches up his interchange, like putting either Taga/Heighington on at first interchange instead of Bukuya, we will be fine. Just needs to balance things out more with the forwards.

Must have missed that one mate. Either way, he was wasted.

As I said earlier we were a bit unlucky. Rolling over them when that unlucky offside happened.

wow a balanced analysis amongst the early razor adopters

I think we could be in for a good season, an unlucky accidental offside and some tough calls from ref in general play, we made a decent account of ourselves

I wud be concerned if I saw apathy tonight but I didn't one bit

yes. Brailey was very good. He gave quick ball and drove the forwards to good metres most of the time he was there. Almost everything that could go wrong tonight did go wrong. Add Val and find a spot for Capewell and things will improve

I think eddy will come good , not a lot of opportunity tonight but shud work on defense and handling. Team will learn to play to his strengths and get used to having a tall basterd out there ha ha

Yeah we have an 8 foot winger but haven't kicked it tonight him
Once

Those of us with long memories will get a laugh out of this. Once, we did nothing but kick to the wings. Gee they were exasperating days!

This. Lee has been with the squad for.... 2 weeks? Just needs to find his place and I think he'll go okay.

All in all we looked good. Some early season cobwebs, but apart from missing Holmes I didn't see anything not to be optimistic about. Brailey was fantastic. We had the enthusiasm and sting in the forwards. Just a bit disjointed in attack without Barba, but I'm totally confident Holmes will do that job and some.

I expected that sort of scoreline, I did say Broncos by 4 in my preview and I wasn't far off.

For a side without Barba, Ennis, Holmes and us fielding a rookie number 9, I didn't think we did too bad. A lot of combinations need to be worked on but there's time yet.

Even though the Broncs scored four tries, I thought our online defence was pretty good. Milford's try being the exception, that was tired poor defence.

I thought Ricky was solid and kept Roberts very quiet, and I was super impressed with Brailey. Thought he was going to play the full 80 minutes at one stage.

Need Val back badly. It'll be interesting to see how Flanno sorts it out. Bird and Ricky will stay put, Val at the back, Feki on the wing should be the go. Just one wing spot up for grabs, I'm not endeared with Lee or Beale at all though.

Great to see the game day thread still has the usual wrist slitters writing us off 25 mins into the game. Makes me laugh so much. And it's the same guys all the time. Keep it up boys.

Beale is a liabilty - bring in anyone ahead of the dude that was the only player in the GF that made it possible for us to lose

Yep his positional play in defence i found a bit ****. He was defending in the line when we were 10 out. So he had to try abd chase kicks, such as the one roberts scored from.
