You can't be serious. They are professional footballers. They are paid to put in.
A good manager knows that paying an employee to do a job and using that as the only motivation will result in your employees doing the bare minimum.

In answer to the title of this thread, i work hard for my money and i'm paying for this membership. I'm about to write a letter to the club requesting a refund.

I honestly don't care if we lose. But at least look like you care and have a go.

Think i'm switching to watch the Waratahs now.

Didn't know about Lichaa. So dogs did dirty on him too huh? Still, if we played him last year (in a winning side) he may have stuck around with us.
I think Peach has X factor (which we need). May be in NSW cup for other reasons (I don't know).
Hasson, played against us this round and has Been on their bench most of this season (must be playing okay to be on the bench of a Manly side).
Frizz will be better than your average NRL forward, better than Prior, but agree, we have similar players (young and as good ie Taga, Arona).
Chad, well jury still out.
No game changer, but never got a chance to play along side Carney, so will never know how they could have combined together.
Boogs, younger than hinno, more experienced than Sopa and much much better than Prior.

All are young with promise (our blokes are aging) just saying.......

It's hard, as an investor, when your stocks continually underperform, to continue to invest - both financially and emotionally. It takes blind faith, almost bordering on ignorance, to continue to but into the Sharks dream. Unfortunately, if people stop investing in the sharks then the dream will never have a chance to become realised. As members, like investors, we have the ability to confront our board and vote for change. It might be better for the club to be purged of unity, or sharp. It might not. How upset are you, investors?

Blooding players for the sake of it is short sighted and does not work and in this situation is not the answer. Throwing Brown and Holmes into a side lacking passion and the want to fight will stunt their development.

Disagree with this bit. Blooding players is looking to the future, not short sighted. If the incumbants aren't doing the job then now is the time, we lose nothing by trying this approach.

Throwing some young guys into the mix may well lift passion if anything, get a bit of hunger on the park.

This is an interesting discussion...

For all of those stating that we shouldn't be worried we were 2/5 last year etc went on to make the semis... you need a wake up call. Last year we had our proper coach (arguments can be made this isn't necessarily a big pro) the team was under siege and they banded together to produce impressive results.

This year is NOT last year. The coach has publicly stated on multiple occasions that he doesn't want the head job. Gallen has stated that even he has seen that with Sharp at the helm that the players have treated it like having a substitute teacher. The emotion from being under siege is well and truly squeezed dry.

There are slight changes in the rules that make us a little more ineffective, but more so our style of play is so outdated that against quality oppositions you need them to be off their game to get the win up.

In saying all of that, the season is nowhere near over.

We have a few players to come back, yes... but are they the sort of players who are going to come back and inspire an extra 18 points a game, I personally don't think so, however they make take the pressure off some of the others who are clearly struggling with the added weight.

We aren't playing a good brand of footy and if we don't have grit and steel resolve we won't succeed against the better sides. Unfortunately the easier part of our draw was at the start of this season with quite a few home games early on and against what we would perceive as weaker opposition.

I don't think we will make the 8 personally for the reasons listed above.

But anyone thinking it's over already certainly needs some nasal spray.

I've got season tickets, I'll be there for every game... but I certainly don't begrudge anyone having a whinge, who's hard earned is being put towards the torturous experience that is sitting through a Sharks attacking set week after week

I have to say that putting holmes and brown into first grade now would be throwing them into the deep end and shattering there confidence. If we want to blood them put them into nsw cup
