I haven't, I've played just about every sport under the sun and Rugby League is the only one there has been a major off the field drama. One of the main reasons I stopped playing Rugby League was because I moved to an area where all anyone cared about was getting in a punch up.

It's all about lowest common denominator stuff... with a particular emphasis on the word "common."

Just a load of puerile toilet humour and "boys club" rubbish. I agree with a post SF made in another thread that (should she ever wish to pursue it) Erin Molan would have a strong case for employer-sanctioned workplace sexual harassment.

The problem with Rugby League so often stems back to the way physically grown men seem to think it is acceptable to act like silly teenage boys. Grow the ^&*% up!

That's not just on the Footy Show or the NRL players but also at the very grassroots of the sport at the junior park footy. Seriously, who turns up to watch their fat, rat-tailed kid play in the U/8s banging on a fag and downing a longneck and barking out abuse. Or punching on with some opposition's parent in the carpark.

The mass boganisation of Australian culture is largely to blame too. It beggars belief how many people take pride in being ignorant and stupid.

The shame is that we're progressively heading towards the normalisation of these sorts of behaviours, in acceptance of stupidity and the promotion of thoughtlessness.

This.

I come across it every day in my job. And it's just not the young people. There's an overwhelming feeling of near enough is good enough. A lot of it comes down to parenting. Unfortunately a lot of parents these days see their kids as angels who can do no wrong. There is no discipline. Again, not just with young people but parents as well. It's not going to get better unfortunately.

I'll send you through the judiciary report for the SSFA when
I get it this week and you will nearly always see at least 1 coach
or spectator incident

That's probably true but it is under the spotlight a lot more than other sports in NSW as it is the major football code.
For example in England look at the EPL. Your always hearing about ********s doing stupid **** off the field every year.

I'm just going off personal experience as someone that is currently playing basketball, AFL and soccer and going to as many of the local Rugby League games as possible.

I've played basketball nearly every season for the last 11 or so years and have experienced two minor off field incidents. Played AFL every season for the last 10 years and haven't experienced any off field incidents. Played rugby league for 7 years and have been to most games of a weekend and have witnessed many.

Everything else I've only played a season here or there so can't really comment.

That could just be this area though. Rugby League here is a minority sport.

Every tv or radio show about league seems to have them 2 or tallis. Kind of limits what league stuff I watch or listen to as they all piss me off that much I just boycott these programs.

One HUGE Banner is required for Paul Kent at the next home game - A clever one and one that does NOT get our club further offside with NRL central.
The wanderers did to Rebecca Wilson. Lets try to bring smiles to the masses at ***** expense
Bring the banner out when someone scores near the fan base, so it gets seen in the coverage and NOT confiscated beforehand.
Someone want to start a new thread for this, when they have the first suggestion?
