So ****ing stupid, the flop was bad enough but the soft arse headbutt was sooo dumb.
Would have much preferred he'd thrown a punch if he wanted to sit the rest of the game out

He’s lucky if he doesn’t play off the bench next year - his defence is tragic. Shouldn’t be a starter

Might suit him more you know. I dont know who starts ahead of him though if we lose Tolman. Williams, Hunt and BHU are better benchies. Unless we buy another forward.

He's surprisingly soft. Don't know what to do with this guy, at his age

He’s got it all there, I reckon he just needs guidance from an experienced coach who can help get in his head - strip his game way back and just focus on his defence, looks like he’s trying to do way too much sometimes

We fought so hard to keep him and he has rewarded us not just by not continuing to get better but arguably by getting worse

As others have said he needs more leadership and less minutes.

He isn't soft but Garrick made him look soft. And weak. And stupid.

Finucane might be the best thing to happen to Toby next year. If im Fitz im sticking those two together like glue. If even a fraction of Dale’s professionalism rubs off on Toby it would make a world of difference.

I see same. He will improve leap and bounds under a no nonsense coach like Fitz

Effort doesn't seem to be the problem. Something needs to change, otherwise he'll fall back to impact sub... With arguably less impact than we need

Yep, I reckon we will see a huge improvement in the reindeer man next year with Fitz getting the **** out of his game and teaching him how to tackle. And Finucane will teach him heaps about being professional.

Very very very very very lucky.

Should get dropped for it in my opinion, such a dumb thing to do but who else do you bring in?

Lucky? If that was more than a fine the nrl would be off their rocker.

As to your second point that's more debatable. If the game was in the balance I'd agree, but given where we were it seemed to just be frustrations boiling over. I'm not too worried about it. I'd prefer he was reprimanded for his missed tackles this season far more than a love tap with his noggin.

Yep fine is sufficient, not much in it.

The trip was more dangerous and that will only be a fine.

Head butts are usually taken pretty seriously by the NRL, in the past they have brought a suspension. I thought the penalty for the flop wasn't a great decision, he was finishing off the tackle. But he let himself be goaded by Garrick and you just can't do that. No matter how light, the intent is still there.

Yes, the game wasn't in the balance but it left us a man short to defend and try and keep that F/A differential down - thanks to some enterprising play and Turbo going off we managed to avoid more carnage.

Honestly though it was barely a headbutt, it was the equivalent of a punch when they hold into the collar and push their fist into the chin. Agree with HB that the trip was far more dangerous.

The other problem with dropping him would be, who do you replace him with? At least we showed some ticker this week, I would be avoiding dropping anyone other than Chambers on the back of that.

Agreed - He's also only played 39 games of footy. That's less than most of our forwards. Sure he's 25 but he's still pretty green, playing too many minutes imo and desperately needs some help.

we dont have an experienced coach coming in though, we have a rookie

fitz will need to be a phenomenal man manager and coach with the amount of green players we have
