Should we sign Carney or not? Yes or No?

what's you problem today?

dunno, but his girlfriend is moving from bondi to nz at the end of the year, so i would say he is there for the long haul

would take him in a heartbeat. defence would be concern in the line. I know the guy can hit like a freight train but NRL defence very different.

Snowman just asked someone to name an off contract centre? thats all i did

he would end up in Brisbane, Melbourne or Warriors IMO.

better access to 3rd party deals.

There sfa available

We missed the boat on centers. Unless we can get a player released from his current contract

A few clubs have been doing that cause of salary cap dramas

Shane Flanagan was talking on 2GB then. He said along the lines of "He's the sort of player I'd want in my team, but it's not wholly my decision." He said nothing's really happened with Carney at a "club level", just going to let the dust settle on 2011, and concentrate on the 20s and NSW Cup.

Joel Caine who was interviewing him was very positive about the Sharks squad next year, said we would have pretty much a world-class pack, and was talking up our halves. :good:

Flanagan also predicted Melbourne will win the comp (Melbourne, Manly or Brisbane).

It was typical finals footy. Our ball movement was always going to come overt the top of their defense. Well done 9,7 and 6.

I thought he controlled the game well

Shocking first half. 5th tackle Kicks were terrible

He did play better in the 2nd half tho

Maybe he needs a year in nsw cup to gain a bit of experience

In the meantime we should sign that Todd carney bloke for our halves lol

I to believe we need Todd Carney in the halves next season. Chad needs at least 1 season in NSW cup before he will be ready.

Townsend didn't play terribly but I've seen worse. And why bring Townsend's performance into question in this thread...this is the Carney thread. Carney is a 6 not a 7.

Just comparing the Tigers against what I've seen from the Sharks. They spread it early and make good meters from it. I don't think they've put up a bomb yet. They've earned more repeat sets in one half than the Sharks have all year. Why do the Sharks persist with the bomb? The bomb doesn't challenge anyone except Albert Kelly.
