Townsend didn't play terribly but I've seen worse. And why bring Townsend's performance into question in this thread...this is the Carney thread. Carney is a 6 not a 7.

Just comparing the Tigers against what I've seen from the Sharks. They spread it early and make good meters from it. I don't think they've put up a bomb yet. They've earned more repeat sets in one half than the Sharks have all year. Why do the Sharks persist with the bomb? The bomb doesn't challenge anyone except Albert Kelly.

And Ben Barba derr and Manu gawd! Facts people

Anyone that is saying they dont want Todd Carney at The Sharks is on drugs. He offers us something we havnt had for a long time, a Playmaker with Speed. He is the difference between us floundering down the bottom of the table next year or being a premiership contender. There is a hope we wont have a team in 2013 so if we sign him and he stuffs up, who cares. Sign him before somebofdy else does.

Ha ha ha. Great name Dunny.

That last bit really wasn't necessary IMO.

Anyone saying or denouncing the possibility of signing of Carney hasn't got a clue, and should resign from being a supporter of the team because obviously you don't want to give the side a chance to win. Carney, yes he has issues. However, the guy has untold ability and will give the Sharks options. If you want to try and win a comp you need a good hooker, a brilliant half and someone with pace in the backs. It is no surprise that Phil Gould is trying to get him for Penrith now. Gould has a clue. If the Sharks don't ink him soon someone else will and it will be Cronulla's consignment to mid table also rans for another year and that is a fact. Anyone that wants to have a go feel entitled to do so. However I like to win, not finish year in year out without prospect of even being in the 8. The list of players that Sharks let go in the past is even too painful to discuss. But a classic example is case in point Keith Galloway. We didn't pay enough so he went to the Tigers. Now we recruit Gibbs and Fifita, whereas if we had paid the right money at the time we would have had a good prop for many years. Some people at the club have a lot to answer for and for mine do not have a clue at times.

Utter, pure, *********.

'We should do it because we could die.'

You don't go out looking to pick up a tidy case of syphilis because you could get run over by a bus the day after tomorrow.

And there is a 'hope' of this happening? Poor choice of words mate.

I don't believe in the 2012 end of the world prophecy.

If we sign Carney I don't have a doubt the world will end or we will have a blider of a season. I don't see any in-between with Him.

I can't think of a better Mentor then Paul Gallen though. It doesn't matter who you are. If Paul Gallen talks.. YOU LISTEN!!

Isn't this about Todd Carney but discuss drinking on the thread. Funny that. Stay on the topic.
