We surely have more money then Penrith.

In regards to his' contract I dont so much mind paying decent coin as long as he doesnt get a massive chunk of it until the end of the season, and only as long as he has not broken any of his' contracted clauses.

For mine, pay him like 150K a season, and like 150K at the end of the season as long as he hasnt doesnt any stupid stuff!!!!

From what I understand LG were always going to leave the Sharks. Their contract was up at the end of that year and their global marketing strategy changed. I think the media liked to make out they left because of the off-field stuff OR Lucky Goldstar used it as an excuse to leave the Sharks.

As soon as Carney signs with the Sharks he's a Shark and I'll back him 110% and really hope that he keeps it all together and will even be excited about the good possibilities, while always being in fear of the bad possibilities.

I wouldn't get too excited about what Triple M said.

I listened and they clearly said his manager was meeting with the Sharks, not Carney himself. David Riolo managers a stack of players inc Sharks, so it doesn't neccessarily mean the meeting is about Carney.

However one would think it would be mentioned.

i think there is no need, i think kelly & townsend are very promising halves combination. i do not think we need to take a huge risk on a player like carney. after the last bout of prolonged negative publicity with bird we lost our main sponsor lg. i think any spare cash would be better spent on a winger or centre.
