were all kind of sponsors.
ticketing, membership, merchandising....beers this year i would have spent a grand easily.
thats a 3 home games and membership in the pre season.
and thats just the at the door. i also have to pay for travel, accommodation and crap like that as add on incidental costs.
now i get things for my cash. but the sponsors get advertising and corporate packages depending on what they provide financially.
the question is fair.
the previous sponsors (Lucky Goldstar, Harvey Norman, PKF)
all bailed due to the clusterF*** 09 on the back on bird 08.
its a legit concern for the club that negative press isnt really needed given the financial constraints at present. a bad incident could send the companies we have on board away and that would be disasterous.
But i say this..
if that had all happened in the middle of an 8 game winning streak. i say LG is still with us. Winning is the be all and end all. Look at Mike Vick. he goes to jail for killing dogs, comes back, throws TD's and he's a hero!

first year with the chooks. fantastic season. redemption story. everyone loved it.
we went 7-17..in a season where IMO there were 5 good teams. 1 elite one. we should have made the finals but lack of a classy creative player (and FG standard backs) prevented us from doing so. We lost 8 in a row to end the year. horrendous.
If we won more games...with a high profile exciting playmaker...we could get more FTA exposure and that would be great for the sponsors.
Sif heisense wouldnt love nationally FTA prime time broadcasts of their logo 10 times a year.
means more money coming in.

theyre always nationally broadcast on FTA and they always win.
