the word on the street reads like this "dont sign carney because of if he stuffs up it will bring us bad press"...

I think we should sign Carney, despite his reputation, I think he's what we need. We have great forwards, but we need a classy half and if Carney can be settled off the field he is that classy half.
However the word i've heard today is the club certainly has not yet had discussions. The attitude is we don't have the money to be buying Carney at the moment and certainly not competing with other clubs like Souths who need a half and have money.
If he is still hanging around in a few months time without the club, they'd certainly entertain the thought of picking him up extremely cheaply.
That's not the news I wanted to hear, but that's what I've heard.

I have never been a **** to you ever. Question you yes. Tried to joke at you? For sure. But I always respected you for what you have done or did for the club. But the last few days all you have done is shown why this club as such a low membership and fan base.
It's people like you that drive away the weekend fans. The fans just want to come and watch the footy have some beers and some laughs.
The thing is fitz you think your better then the rest of us which in fact your not? What you give your pocket change to the club call yourself a sponsor and all of a sudden your top ****? Mate my life is the sharks. I own every ****in jersey, every polo shirt, every jumper and jacket. I bid on every auction and have won my fair share. Every person who knows me, automatically think sharks as well.
But after all that do you see me put myself above a guy like A.snow who isn't a member of the sharks?
Get off your high horse buddy and answer the simple question.
You a sponsor. If Todd carney signs with the sharks will you stop being a sponsor?
Will him being a shark force you to reconsider affiliating yourself with the club because you think his image will hurt yourself or your business?
