Now THIS is outrageous:

Thank you for your email and support.

You have had 14 days to customise your 2024 Membership Packs and as you were yet to do so, the standard packs were triggered, ensuring you had some items prior to Christmas. This is outlined in our Terms and Conditions on our Website; however, I understand if this was not made clear.

We are working with our suppliers on the issue regarding the order as it seems that XXXX’s Pack that was processed is under your name, instead of his name. In the meantime, please do not redeem the Membership Pack that is left for yourself in the Mber+ Portal as this could affect how we resolve the reverting back of the Credit for XXXX’s Pack.

Please be patient with us as we are trying our best to get back to all requests from our Members. We will update you when we have further information and apologise for any confusion and inconvenience caused.

If you have any further questions or there is anything else that we can do, please let us know.

Kind regards,

Sarah

I really like the system if they can get it right, and I think it has improved a lot from last year. Much better than getting a whole stack of extra key rings and pins and caps that I rarely used.

I wouldn't envy either the membership team or the Mber+ developers, considering all the variations in membership packages/credits (adults/kids/concessions/stands), people adding new memberships at any time, people changing memberships, Christmas deadlines etc.

Things that improved:
  • Delivery time was extremely fast
  • The site crashed last year when going through payment step, all working fine this year
  • Process for selecting entitlements was clearer
  • More emails and reminders, including when I added extra memberships.
  • Delivery emails were better (went through Aus Post system).
Things that could still be improved:
  • The website was still very slow on launch, and Mber+ people need to work on that. When I logged in again recently, it was quite OK and usable. But the initial experience would deter a lot. Maybe send out the initial emails in phases, so it doesn't get overloaded all at once.
  • If you have multiple memberships, add a button that allows a single choice of "Default Member Pack" or "Customized". Rather than the current system where you have to click through all the Entitlement selections, and choose for each. Which can be extremely slow if website is slow.
  • Cart should be saved between sessions, including the entitlement selections
  • Show remaining credit as you add cart items.
  • And obviously if there is a deadline for selection, show it!
And wish list:
  • Add different styles of product, e.g. different member caps, different drink bottles (they had different styles last year)
  • Some personalization options would be cool, e.g. add your name to a backpack, or add membership tenure to stickers

spot on mate. Plus allow the voucher be spent on actual merchandise not membership merchandise

Plus, with a courier company as the club's major sponsor how about a reduced delivery charge .

I just went on to claim my members “benefits.” (Aka junk).. I have $200 in combined credit (with son and wife).. I scroll through and select the less crappier stuff of the crap on offer, to find out they want $24.50 for shipping.. wtf. You can’t use the credit towards the shipping either.

Yeah I agree you should be able to use part of your credit for shipping. My credit was $80 for 2 Shark Net memberships. $8.50 was the shipping cost and I left behind $9 in credit anyway.

Okay, so the good news...
I had $2 left from my credit and it was applied to the shipping cost at the checkout.
Oh, and the shipping was only going to be $14.

The not so good news...
Comm Bank didn't send my netcode to confirm payment, so I had to return to the members page. When I arrived, everything was zeroed out. My redeems, credit and basket. I didn't receive a purchase confirmation or anything else. I've now contacted the doc to try and sort it out...

As long as you only use $175 on the crappy crap then you should find you will be covered for shipping , that is what I was able to do .

Lucky we have an international courier company as the major sponsor , ha ha .

These things are planned weeks in advance and can’t just be moved
I understand that but a bit of agility or even moving the time to early evening would have helped. I knew today was going to be extreme about 2 weeks out.

if nothing else, it is a huge liability if someone gets a heat stroke. We can’t do anything about it sounds lazy and like a cop out to me.

The first half of it was very hot, but the second half was perfect. I think it would have been extremely difficult to reschedule all the players. The team were awesome today, so friendly and good to everyone despite the heat.

If you get heat stroke its on you.

I honestly believe they cannot do anything about the weather lol its a bit hot mate that's what happens in Australia this time of year. Stay home in the AC if ya can't cop it.

Heads up; July might be chilly with huge liability that some people might catch a cold.

It is not about me, I was thinking about the little ones but obviously I am in the minority, so…

and Australia does not get cold. We have pretty mild winters.
