Was today the day that seats were meant to be available for season seats?
I thought current members had until Friday 3rd to secure and then Monday 6th they were available for everyone else

I do hope the email I have just received has been sent to me in error - it has told me they are unable to facilitate my seating request for the 2024 season!!!

I did change from the full payment to the part payment plan over the next 7 months, but I did this well before the November 5 deadline to renew my seat and I have received notifications that the first instalment has come out of our account.

If they have given my seats to someone else, I will be absolutely ropeable!!

I have sent them an email back asking them to explain why I have received this email.

Here's hoping mate. They have done this sort of thing before, sent me an email to say my membership was to automatically roll over when I have opted out of that to do the part payment plan. They apologised and said I shouldn't have received the email.

I am hoping it is the same in this case.

If they have stuffed up though and given my seats to someone else, then that might just end it for me as a member. I'll always be a fan but I won't stand for this sort of treatment - I've been a ticketed member since 2009.

Dino will receive an email from me if they have stuffed up.

Agree 100%

If they have started taking payment for a good or service - and then withdrawn that good or service - there are grounds for you , like you I wouldn’t cop it ..

Just heard back from Sharks Membership and all is OK. It was a bit misleading - their original email said this:

"Unfortunately, this email is to advise you that we were unable to facilitate your seating request for the 2024 Season. Limited reserved seats remain for next season, so if you wish to explore these options, please give us a call on 1300 742 757."

Now, I took this to be my renewed seats, but I have now been told that this email was sent to me because I had made a request for an extra seat alongside of us for my mother-in-law and they could not facilitate that. It went on to say this:

"As per our previous correspondence via emails and phone calls, we have successfully renewed your current 3 ET Upper Memberships for yourself, Leonie and Andrew on October 23rd."

So, thank goodness all's well that ends well and there is no chance now @HaroldBishop that @sharks2010 or @djhabib will be sitting in my seats!!

Does anyone at least agree with me that the first line of the email was misleading?

Did you not think though the extra seat you asked for and didn’t get charged for was the most likely thing they were referring to?

The fact they didn’t mention the extra seat I requested made me think even more it was my renewed seats. I had received a phone call around a month ago to say it was highly unlikely they could have an extra seat so I promptly forgot about it.

The answer to your last paragraph is no.

Now the prior holder has fully recommitted, and so the club has confirmed they can't fulfill your request.

Seems like they did the right thing and you just forgot some pretty relevant info. Feels excessive to come in here doing your best punisher impression about it.

Now, I really don't know what to do with you calling my sentence a paragraph. Writing an even longer sentence just before doing so has stumped me. We'll just assume that was an intentional and genius play by you.
