Got home from work just in time to see the Feki try ( make a great centre) and the field goal. If they played like that all game what an effort. Should Flanno get back maybe Shep can teach him a thing or two about attack etc etc etc.

Wow!Brilliant effort, top stuff, good coaching to what we had on the park.Holdsworth, even Politini was it, good kicking, makes such a difference, enthusiastic defense moving up,holding the ball more- but offloading when safe to,backs hard running, forwards tackleing their hearts out.Again thought Prior had a real dig, particularly early on when required. Was so much what we needed, just hope we do so next week and we're a chance again.

Just shows how important a good kicking game is now in the modern game, even just a ok to good like last nite lets u compete even the best forwards or backs need repeat sets or a good clearing kick to relieve the pressure... Finding the grass on 5th tackle is a must

Only saw the final 10 minutes but was pleased to see us compete so well. Im starting to develop a real dislike for the Cowboys where in the past I never really minded them. Anyway lets hope we can reproduce some of that spirit again on Saturday and finish the year with a win.

Listened on the radio and I'm still in disbelief. Very proud of the boys but extremely gutted for them. In some ways it probably hurts more for them losing by a point in extra time rather than getting flogged if that makes sense.

bring back the draw. for both teams to slog it out for 80mins and come away with no points sucks.
the AFL still has draws the bombers and carlton had a 80 - 80 draw on the weekend.

I agree and I'm not saying it as a result of last night. I've always preferred leaving the result as it stands after 80 minutes, excluding finals of course.

If they are going to have extra time they need to scrap Golden Point and just have extra time the team that has the most points at the end wins.

Personally though I don't mind the old days when it was just a draw. It's certainly a better option than Golden Point.

Anything other than golden point, it always turns into a farcical, the refs are too scared to blow an offside penalty most times. My mind always goes back to that first game of the season against Wests Tigers a few years back, when some bloke charged down our kick and the ref called "not played at" when we regained the ball and counted it as the 6th tackle.

Or that game against penrith when jennings was offside when he picked it up and ran the length of the field.

A lot of positive comments on the internet about how gutsy and well we played last night.

These kinds of performances and demonstration of character and heart is what this club needs. POSITIVE (lol) press and character goes a long way in earning respect in rugby league.

I had a spew about it at the time, but gee that "dangerous tackle" around the bootlaces pissed me off.

Surely that is not the intention of that rule and it really needs to be looked at.

The quickest way to get someone to the ground when they are being held like that is to bring their legs together and basically let them trip over as if their shoelaces are tied together. There was nothing dangerous about that tackle and it's how players have always tackled.

They are trying to stop the cannon ball type tackle, but this was nothing of the sort. Nor was it a lifting tackle.

We all hate the wrestle and this rule just encourages it more. Rather than going for the quickest way to get the player to the ground, the third man in is now forced to go high and continue the wrestle.

Once again, a clumsy implementation of a rule has resulted in a poor outcome.

its funny though that over half of our starting squad was out - yet the 2nd tier players showed more heart and belief than most of the top tier players have..

i hope some of the starting guys (who are out) get a wake up call for next year as some of our performances this year have been crap .... yet this bunch of rookies and 2nd tier players show up - rip in - an show the fans more than we have seen all year.

great effort!

The best lost we've had in years. Was gutted we lost but cant be dirty on any of the players, a real team effort to go toe to toe with a red hot side.

Gordon played like a modern day fullback finally and it paid dividends

Normally I'm filthy or embarrassed after a loss. Not after last night, you can't ask for a better effort.

A few individual efforts let us down but as a team, great game

The unfortunate aspect of the game is it will likely be forgotten sooner rather than later with wins over the Roosters the last couple of years being the main memory (or the Broncos game but I missed that).

It deserved to be remembered as an epic draw. Thanks to Golden Point that will not be the case. Ironically we will likely see the demise of Golden Point in the near future as the majority hate it.

Golden point or some type of extra time will live on, I think.

A golden point field goal is never a fair result though.
