Nothing shocking in here
Talakai gets a mention but doesn’t get any comments so maybe he is being looked at for edge?
Fifita down with Pele and Martin in the also rans pile

The Indigenous All Stars game is the perfect timing for Fifs.

His chance to show Fitz what he's got.

If he lets rip and shines in that game he's a good chance of selection with the Sharks. Make or break for the beginning of the season.

Didn’t he have a really good game in the same match last year?
He had some good runs but was super slow. I kind of hope this will be his swan song, it'd be a fitting way to go out and a huge effort to even get out there to play okay.

That would be a decent way to wrap up if he was thinking he was done

I’d prefer he did it at home for us. You are pretty vocal on the 4th bench spot getting no time. Could easily give him 5-10 minutes at the end of each half, hope for a win, then big fella can do a lap around the field and ride off into the sunset

If he’s thinking he is done he is presumably worse than last year. You want Fitz to not run out his best team one week?
Which week? Week 1?
Would have be quick if we wanted much use of the cap space.
Or wait it out and hope a fitting round comes up?

Have to be careful with those three subs being used too

This guy has Katoa missing from his predicted sharks team, what a joke

I think the 'best 17' portion of that article is regurgitated content from a week or so ago

Anyways, leaving Katoa AND Jack Williams out of a best 17 list but finding space for Tolman & Nikora is bizarre.
No Wilton either

If Tolman makes the 17 for any game , we must be in DIRE straights in 2022 with injury

The only positive thing I noted out of this article was the reminder I got that our defensive coach from 2016 is back with us , Steve Price. Has gone under the radar to date & a definite plus.

Other than that have decided that Fitz is getting paid the big bucks to pick the team & he will get the flack or hopefully the credit so will just countdown the sleeps to Rd 1 & ignore the "experts " who need to keep their click count up .

Yeah he's only our best winger!

Every time I see mention of Ennis I get a bit of movement. Jesus I love that guy!
Agree he's our best winger, but a few articles/pods indicate Fitz may be seriously considering playing Ikuvalu over him...

Also agree on the Ennis pennis movement.

Crazy if that happens, Kotoa is better than Ronnie.

I agree! He turns half chances into points. Our best finisher since Holmes.
I'll go out on a limb and say Katoa is an even better finisher than Val.

Don't get me wrong, Val was definitely the better winger overall though, while with us anyway.

I dunno if I'd go that far....

Even if Talakai, Williams and Hunt all ahead of Tolman (which they may or may not be come end of preseason*) for middle depth that still moves him to approx spot 8 of 5-7 available each week.
Doesn't take much to get him a game. Much deeper, like behind Wilton as a middle, or Fifita, and I agree we are starting to go a bit far down the chart. But at spot 8 Tolman a good shot of getting a run Origin time when Dale, McInnes and Graham are all out playing for the Blues.

Last season Fifita was approx spot 8 and got 6 games and maybe would have got as couple more, but between Graham, Hunt and Talakai we definitely were stretched in the forwards last year at times.

*I hope they all are
