Why not? Its just a fixed length care taker role. Not a bad foot in the door.

Also what about our NSW Cup coach?

This ^.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with the change, but I think noddy is more ambitious and would want a full time (ongoing) head coach role, not a "care taking" role now.

He would be reverting back to assistant coach next year which I can't see him being happy with.

Its got me thinking what does he bring to the table even as an assistant coach with Flanno? just doesn't seem to have the passion

We've missed the boat with Noddy I would have thought, isn't Flanno back in three months? Should have given him the full season.

This playing group wouldn't have responded to noddy. Plus he might have dropped some of the crew which is why the players didn't want him

At least Ricky's excuses and ref trolling were entertaining after a loss plus 2008 was awesome - Sharpy is the most useless Cronulla FG coach I have witnessed in my time of following the Sharks
And the board are even more useless for thinking he was an appropriate stop gap for 2014

That money they "saved" by going with Sharpy we will now be losing in gate takings, merch sales ect.
And while there is no guarantee an alternative coach would have us higher on the table at least we could get behind a guy who actually wants the job and might be willing to try some new things and maybe even earn the players and fans respect along the way. Maybe there would still be a glimmer of hope but Sharpy does not have the backbone, motivation or ability to turn this team around so our season is over before Gal even plays Origin 1

I really don't think Noddy was the answer for a head coaching role but anything was going to be better than this knob

If Sharpy is in there as a conduit to direction from sofa bound Flanno then that plan ain't ****ing working either!

The ****ing cheat Flanno was ****ing off contract and we could have had a ****ing new coach THIS year if it wasn't for the criminal negligence of the disunity charlatans.

We all got sick of Ricky's rants but jeez sharpie looks lost I wouldn't mind a rant or a hand smashed on the table during a press conference.... Just some sort of look of passion..

That's what I mean even though we all got sick and tired of the same old tired lines and excuses over and over from Ricky at least he looked dejected and upset like he gave a ****. Well until the last few months of his contract anyway...
Plus he was a slightly less **** coach

It's a press conference. Who gives a ****.

I a club member give a siiht we don't get to see the inner sanctum of the workings unless u have someone in the know, we only have dosit.. So I want to see our coach give me some sort of emotion let me know he hurts not keep telling me he is a seat warmer... Is what i want

We should have offered Henry or Sheens the gig. Doesnt matter now though. Flanno will be back to take us through the off season, and we dont have a hope in hell of seeing Sept, unless rnd 26 is played then.

With the amount of ex tigers that sheens cut in our squad he was never an option mate. Plenty of assistant coaches out there that I reckon would have jumped at the chance to coach a year of first grade. Look at McFaddon at the warriors.

Fact is we've been screwed by management this season. We meaning the paying members. By appointing this muppet they have shown that he offers nothing in regards to coaching and also shows that he would offer nothing as an assistant coach. Why is he still there then? Flanno may be able to get the boys up for a game, but so far his ability to coach good football is highly questionable. Scary to think he has Sharp to turn to for advice when he is struggling, coz his assistant doesn't look like he has had an original idea since the 90's.

Playing an injury recovering Lewis at 5/8 was original

When Carney comes back from his latest injury I expect him to be played in the second row

Apparently the blokes a football genius, it's every single other aspect of coaching he's no good at, eg workplace relations..

That's why him and flanno were good together, flanno manages the people and sharpie manages the technical side.
