Amateur hour is the only words to describe this debarcle... Imagine the prime minister or a CEO standing up saying I'm not that keen for the job, and I'm only warming the seat for the bloke who got the ass to return... The rot at our club seems to be right through the joint... Professional sport people needs to be run and lead by professionals not guys filling in with stop gap measures.. Really feel more embarrassed than sad at the Moment the way this is playing out..

They hadnt re-signed flanno at this point.

Now im not gunna go into the flanno hate cos it just sets everyone off.

But when the nrl suspended him and he lost his appeal, the club had grounds to part ways. The nrl would hav had their bag on that too.

I dont think this club thought it all through.

2014 was pretty much nominated as a write off year imo.
Or in 2013 when flanno got his suspension the club honestly thought the nrl would revoke the suspension

Well, if they thought that, they had rocks in their heads. With one of the biggest who-hahs going on and so much at stake, I would be absolutely gobsmacked if the club thought the NRL were going to reverse their decision. By being fair, they had to give the Sharks some time to respond but they would have been mad to revoke it.

It's easy to forget that we went well last year under Flanno and the players respect him and work hard under him. Flanno back next year will be good. But this year? IMo it's not that the players don't respect him, they don't trust him. They don't trust that when he says do this and we will play well, it'll happen. They don't believe he has the answers to problems, whereas they did believe Flanno had them.

They should promote Herman and give Sharp his old job back, and Herman should start dropping guys who play badly week to week. They need to shake the players up. Some of them need the humiliation of NSW cup for a while.

Watching Sharp on the Footy Show yesterday before the game made me cringe. He's got nothing. Nothing.

It is also telling that Sharp coached Toovey as a player.

I don't wanna stick up for Sharp - I wouldn't care if he never coaches us again.

But I get the feeling the Sharpie we see at press conferences and in interviews is just his way of trying to play a straight bat.

He couldn't possibly be like that all time, could he?

Well the lack of energy by the side says to me he is.

Sharp's position as 2014 coach has become untenable.
His defensive structures are a joke.
His attacking structures are even worse.
His game plans ... well we can all see how well they are going.
His defeatist attitude is contagious.
He openly admits he doesn't want the job.

It's time for management for put Sharpie out of his misery.

Bite the bullet - we can't keep going like this.

But are these HIS structures, or are they Flannos last years structures which have become outdated with the new rule changes?
Genuine question.
