If Ennis is out next week that's a massive problem. Canberra tore us a new one when he was missing a few weeks ago.
Paulo out isn't a big issue, Capewell slots win nicely for him. Any news on Taga? If we can get him playing and firing for
The semi that would be a big help, particulalry if the NRL decide to be cnuts and suspend Fifs.
If ennis is out do we then have to pick nu and mcilwrick to replace him cos neither would play 80 minutes (that's an assumption since that's what happened last time ennis was out)

As punishment for poor form Flanno should put Bird at 9.
I reckon Bird would make a good 9. And actually, it'd probably help him to gain some confidence being in the middle and getting a bit more involved.

But, the finals probably aren't the time for experiments.

Busted shoulders at the moment effecting his game . Tackling at hooker mightn't the best option

Not disappointed with the effort at all. Melbourne got a repeat set when Ennis turned his back on a kick(called a chargedown) & scored off the next set, they also scored off a knock on in the in goal area,(bunker need OPSM) there's 12 points rights there. Cronulla had countless opportunities to score, down Paulo, down Heighington, Fifita headbutted in the back of the calf by Marika Koroibete. If Cronulla executed just 75% of those chances we would have probably won that game. I hope Tagataese is back, because Paulo is a big loss. If we play like we did against Melbourne and the passes stick we have a huge chance. I just hope we don't get Gerard Sutton as a referee. Melboune are experts at the hold down at the ruck and they did it again effectively last night slowing the play the ball down. We were all over them for a while towards the end when the play the ball was quicker.

We just lacked the finishing touch in the first half last night. Their second try straight after half time killed us. I felt so deflated towards the end of the game though. I could hardly move. The game reminded me of that 2008 prelim against the Storm. Oh well, a trip to Canberra awaits us.

We need to change something very soon, like by next week or we are going to get smashed. Ennis will be there next week, no charge.

They have learned to run at Barba, I'd move him to bench and Val to fullback and Ricky to wing. I'd even consider bringing Bird in closer and swap him with Chad.

We need Jimmy, Gal and Fifita to stop giving stupid penalties

I'd look at moving fifita to the bench and put chad in the front row. Get him just getting back to basics tucking the ball under his arm and hitting it up.

Probably not a game that we would be expected to win.

Just a moment of reflection. If we turned up to play against St George we wouldn't be in this position.

Or Canberra, or Souths, or the Raiders, or even if we won instead of getting a draw against the Titans.
