DON'T GET RID OF BUSTER FFS, we all saw how good he was last year at 5/8

We know you're not happy with it, you're not happy with much. I'm sure most around here are like me and just assume you're opinion is gonna be one of tanties and dummy spits.

Noting we need something around dummy half next season, what would you have done?

lol its John Morris, how could you be happy with it, have you not spoken to a tigers fan or watch a game, he is a gumby, i want them to persist with youth - Lancen Juodo

Reserve Grade #9 and thats it

1. Simmons
6. Anasta
7. Finch
9. Morris/Hughes combo

You there peaches? Wake up lil' buddy..

that has wooden spoon written all over it

i actually wouldn't mind finch, if you have a creative halves partner, just look at his impact at melbourne..parra just ruin every halfback they have

I guess time will tell.

I don't think he'll go too bad. He's not a half, thats why he's garbage at the Tigers. Especially when you take into account his halves partner (Benji) who is probably the most hot/cold player in the comp and not a 7, at least yet.

I'm sure Judo will be persisted with and brought into grade if and when he's ready. Big step to go from consistent NYC player to consistent NRL player, even more so in a position like hooker.

It could be worse, we could re-sign Hughes.

No probs mate, I got a little tingle when I first saw it too. Then I realised it was highly likely Morris. And as for Magnay, forward your resume, she needs all the help she can get.

Hmm sorry to go against the flow but when I heard we were chasing John Morris I was somewhat excited. I’ve watched a few of his performances this year and whilst he is no superstar he is consistent, solid, creative and can tackle.

His best asset for us will be his versatility, I also believe that when he plays in the No.9 he will be sharper than any hooker we have now, plus he can kick out of dummy half.

I’m much happier with this recruitment than that of the great slug... Cuthbertson!

You never know Sharks, they might have someone secret up there sleeve. Then you would have broken the big story!!!

I disagree with you all actually, as a hooker Morris played he best footy at Knights and Parra, he is not a half's *******, but as a hooker I think he goes a lot better. Hughes will not be there next year. and I highly doubt TC will be either, only because his knee is giving him grief.

Unfortunately for Tony, that is a big part why the last 3-4 weeks he has been in & out of the top side. When he plays PL, he only trains 3 times a week and then a game, at not as high intensity, but when he plays with the NRL squad he has to train 5 times or so a week, and his knee blows up, unfortunately a reflection of his HORRIFFIC injury. To add to this he also has a good paying job, that is VERY flexible with his footy committments, and he does not want to jeopardise this part of his life, if his knee is not up to it, and considering Sharks NRL won't invest 100-120k per year to keep him, so he doesn't have to work his other job.

As the De Gois thing above, people should think about the real stories before judging here, De Gois and TC.

As far Morris goes, tell me which other hooker is NRL standard on the market? I know he is not De Gois, but he is better then Hughes, younger and faster. Seu Seu 70% game time and Morris rotation, is not such a bad thing. But I totally agree he is ****house in the halves.

Plus as mentioned on other posts, I doubt Seymour will be a Shark 2010, so that option is thin too.

Unfortuantely guys recruitment has a few things to it, money, availability, and attraction to the players concerned, and ATM we are not an attractive brand.

All the above true unfortunately, don't reckon hes that bad at hooker if cheap, given our circumstances

Come on guys. John Morris is a good footballer: he's an above average hooker and a good depth guy to have in the halves (we could use a guy like this while Baz is suspended). Nobody wants him playing 6 or 7 every week but the fact is he is capable of filling in there when needed.

FACT: We need a hooker
FACT: Zappia has stated weeks ago that the club were looking for a hooker
FACT: These are the regular NRL players off contract who can play hooker:

John Morris
Heath L'Estrange

Morris is a proven NRL player, a massive upgrade over Hughes and wil fit in to the hooker rotation nicely with Seu Seu.

your pushing it

the only position i want him in is 9, no where else, he should be banned from being in the halves because he is as creative as kevin kingston
