haha ok I beg to differ. We don't win the comp last year if we wasn't playing with us.

how many games did he win for us last year on his own?

more likely we dont win without:

ennis
barba
fifita
prior
gallen
lewis
holmes
graham
maloney

bird, meh.

There was one play close to the line where he seemed a bit confused as what to do but still got the ball away eventually. Apart from that his service was fantastic.

I haven't seen his kicking game but if it ends up matching his other skills he could be the next Cam Smith.

I heard Brailey say he doesn't have much of a kicking game and that is something he is working on with Ennis.

How many tries were scored by Val that included Bird?

If we didn't have Bird we would have had Beale and lol @ that.

Bird playing through that injury in the grandfinal was ****ing epic.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's still not fully fit.

Haha mark this day down the diary.

The day that Beale is a better option than Bird in the centres.

Diary? What is this, the 90s? I'll facebook it thanks!

He's not better, but he still sent Val in for a bunch like Bird. I think it might have a little to do with Val.

I'd keep Bird if he's happy to play centre and earn centre money. If he wants a spine position and/or spine player money he can find it elsewhere.

I haven't seen his brother, do you think he could play in another position if push came to shove?

I haven't seen much of him either but he seems to have always played at hooker in our junior system and we've got Flanno Jr and Jack Williams who's been named captain this year so I'm not sure we'll see him play any other position right now. Maybe down the track ?

Ok so it wasn't he is better but you cannot for the life of me thing that if we played Beale in the centres instead of Bird last year that we would have ended up in the grand final.

He is not a ''meh'' player. He played origin at 21 dammit. I struggle to think of a team in the comp that wouldn't want him in their team.

''Meh'' player, that will do me.

I think the issue is how much cash he wants. You can't pay spine money for a centre, for me that's what it boils down to.

Is that the hold up with him resigning at the moment? I agree he shouldn't be getting spine money but all along he has said money isn't the main contributing factor for him. But I don't believe that for a second.

In my eyes he is a centre, but down the track when he put some muscle on maybe a lock? I know he doesn't see himself that way but. If Bird was to say he want 5/8 or fullback or he walks, then I would say cya later mate. But until then I think we need him.

bird had 6 try assists, so less than a third

i dont want beale, i want an upgrade, a specialist centre, not a kid with an ego thinking he is a half or fullback when he is neither

Name one to replace him. Bird contract is about up so your replacement centre has to be on the open market.

Yeah. I think I want this guy playing big minutes for us.

I now think perhaps we should only be giving Seggy 12 months if anything at all.
