Since we won the comp and don't need to sign any quick fix players I'd like to see flanno give brailey the full year in first grade and let him soak up as much as he can from gal, lewis, hino etc before they retire. Learn what first grade at a premiership winning team is all about and not wait till we're in a transition period before he gets a run.

Would be a pretty big effort to go from under 20's to NRL playing in the middle all season. Not saying he can't do it but it's a massive ask imo.

Maybe, i have my doubts playing reserve grade does him much good since the standard seems to be so poor. I like damien cook but I'd prefer to back brailey now. He and nu could split the role perhaps, whichever way you look at it losing ennis makes us weaker. Your mate cherrington might be the buy of the year too haha

Yeah I'd like to see us back him as well. Would be very interesting if those two were our hooker rotation though in round 1, neither with first grade experience in the position.

Gonna be interesting, remember if your "Good enough your old enough". I recall one of our colleagues in here, very early on, critiquing a relatively unknown Jack Bird from the 20s, knowing and confirming his family pedigree, attitude, application and quietly predicting big things .It was obvious to me in that 9s game some time after, and that person has in the passing of a short time, been proved 100% spot on.

Really well. For a first game with grown men he more than held his own. He will take some time warming into the role but I think by mid year he will be great. It is the other hooking spot I am not so convinced about.

Brailey went well. First game in Nrl after winning the 20's best player and the knives are already out. Ennis was great, but he ain't coming back. Need to get over it.

Brailey is our long term option and should be persisted with. Ideally he would rotate with segyaro for 2 seasons, but if that isn't the case I am not overly concerned. With holmes at the back we will still have a pretty good spine. We have 2 2nd rowers who can create in graham and lewis so will still have some good attacking options. I would like to see us get another solid winger/fullback for depth.

The Hair pull by the young man- on the worst player to ever pull on a sharks jersey, was epic!

I thought for sure when Toutai came on that we'd find a way to win, but unfortunately he went off injured not long after!
