He's right. Nicho crept 3 steps right before/as the ball was played & created the space. Most DHs only need to see your eyes over-committing 1 direction, Nicho's eyes, head, shoulders, feet & movement all went somewhere else. George Rose woulda had a dart at that let alone Nu Brown who'd score 9/10 of his tries from going himself.

Nothing needed delivering by the time he got on. Played his short sides as he does, got a little raid started that almost ended in points & put Murray through for a pie. 1 half charged down kick. The Nu Brown try his only real fault.

DCE & Munster were running things he had the sorta roaming middle role like KP off the bench for QLD.

Unfortunately Nicho forgot to read the team tip sheet on Nu Brown . Nu Brown was a certainty to go from dummy half in that position , it is his signature play.

It was poor by Nicho as he fell for the dummy. Was an equally terrible attempt by Jurbo, but that was hardly mentioned. Doesnt fit the narrative of Nicho being **** in big games that Fox are really pushing

Edwards knock on (pretty accidental but a contributing mistake still)
Then hammer or whoever knocked on into offside Cotter

Lot went wrong before Nicho eventually leaked a try.
DCE not taking a kick off won’t be questioned regarding big game ability.

After pointing out this reality (/these excuses), yeah, poor by Nicho to give a guy like Nu any space on the line like that. Runs it’s close to 10 times out of 10 there!

Exactly. Fox sre really pushing the rep game Hynes narrative, the actual commentary ore game regarding Nichos origin stint was disgusting.

As you say, DCE ****ed up the kick off reception and it was crickets. Hynes gets fooled at marker and they let him have it.

Nah I think Cronk did say a little about DCE mistake but it’ll never be brought up again and it was pretty poor, but he has runs on the board.

It’s the only reason nz has attacking football though, gave up possession AND field position

Lots of things happen in a game. None of those mentioned made Nicho defend as poorly as he did.
