Let’s hope Mal doesn’t try to play him in the centers!!

Hunt is the only benchy / utility worth half a piss IMO. Has shown his worth in the biggest rep games (Origin)

Unless you have a genuine injury in the halves or FB. In that case Nicho's value on being selected in the 17 goes up significantly.

But purely as an impact player coming on for some cameo minutes, you really need a setup and structure that can let him get good involvements and make some meaningful contributions / take advantage of his skillset and abilities.

In an Aussie team already stacked with quality and many egos and controlling players that might not be easy.

Otherwise he is just taking the ball from equally capable players in less than ideal positions on the field.

These blokes only have so long to train together in camp, gel and form some combos and cohesion.

If Mal is smart he will run with DCE/Munster as his starting halves. Nicho purely depth. Tempting to punt Teddy at FB though

I imagine DCE plays 7 and Hunt/Grant plays 14, which will leave him out of the 17 (won't carry 2 utilities). If there's a in-game injury to the halves, Hunt moves in.

Not sure I like the fact that NRL don't want part of the Koori comp but can give out suspensions for something that happened during it.
Guess it is the same as any other off feild infraction but just feel weird to me.

Same thought process
Hard to argue NRL players punching on in the comp doesn’t reflect badly

Interesting contrast between his and Vals punishments though, if both for bringing game into disrepute

Punch up in a bush game of footy - very bad
“Pretending” to be using illegal substances and posting it on socials to the world - Not so bad

So JAC gets pulled for a punch up but Val gets to play after 1 game suspension for “drug use”! (Well pretending to use them)

Doesn't the fault lie more with the ARL over the squad choices though?

JAC to miss two games, so that's I think half the tournament? Val misses just one right?

But Val got quite a big fine with his 1, haven't seen any fine suggested for JAC.
