if your right I hope feki and leutele are our centres then
I think that would be a good combo.Feki has been saving Jonos bacon all year. Reads the play well in defence. When he was in the W.arriors 20s didnt let much get down his side, unlike Hurrell.Having said all that l think Ayshford will be one and ? will be the other. Grothe may even make it back and as we know he can play both wings but prefers the right, just like dah

Saw feki at cronulla rsl last night. Looking like an islander version of gal atm, just a little porkier. Sure he'll be in top shape when it counts though.

Lewis there with josh morris aswell, start the morris to the shire rumours now...

The pressed talked him up big time, I got the impression the people who were actually at the game said he struggled (especially in defence) so who knows, have to watch the next trial to form my own opinion.

I thought he struggled in defense, positioning especially.

I actually thought that Ashford covered for him quite a bit.

The press has over exaggerated how good his game was a bit, but I guess it's because he's a well known name coming back.

He was solid without being spectacular. He scored a good try but he struggled a bit in defence. I reckon he'll start in NSW Cup but he could move his way up into the firsts team later in the year.

If Ayshford and Grothe are together on the right hand side along with Carney.

We are going to leak some serious points down that side.

They were both very average.

In your head, rent free
grothes defence break downs because Todd cant tackle. period. he was forced into overlaps every time todd missed a tackle. what did you want him to do? shut every play down?

if you are going to say Grothe was average in defence, go into the carney thread and bash him for being absolute ****, because he was.

I didn't see the trial so can't comment on that but Grothe was always pretty average in defence at Parra. Rushed in too much and caused some serious problems for Parra's defence. That's my main concern if Grothe does get first grade time this season.

Grothe was also worse than Feki usually is in the air. So whilst he did show good strength and footwork to score his try, there were obvious alarm bells in D. Not to mention his lack of pace was obvious.

If he spends a significant amount of time in first grade we will miss the 8.

Go back to singing about footballers in thongs.
