I'd be very surprised if he didn't.

Too much publicity and if he wasn't god awful they will give him a year.

I had a premonition about Grothe and Gordon being very damaging for us this year. If Feki is on the wing again, we will not have a problem getting out of our own 20... IF!! Grothe produces

grothes defence break downs because Todd cant tackle. period. he was forced into overlaps every time todd missed a tackle. what did you want him to do? shut every play down?

if you are going to say Grothe was average in defence, go into the carney thread and bash him for being absolute ****, because he was.
Wouldn't be the first time a team carries a half in defence because of what else they offer. I'd argue the same doesn't apply to a winger. Carney deserves strong defenders around him.

If we're scrambling to raise the money for Fifita, could Grothe's contract be collateral damage? What would it be? 100k? Then we make do with the wingers we have and have already paid for.

The try he scored, most other wingers we've had in the recent past wouldn't have scored but he was quiet apart from that moment. Definitely worth a small contract.

He doesn't "deserve" it. He should learn to tackle. It's an fundamental skill of the game.

What difference would that make. We are not re-signing Faffita for this year, he's already under contract.

If we are paying a top 24 player 100k then that to me is a great deal if he produces. If he isn't in the top 24 then it has no barring on Fifitas contract because they are two separate caps.

This is very confusing to me, because of the penrith players not being aloud to play because he wasn't in the 24, yet was playing first grade.

Someone with more knowledge, help?

They can ask for an exemption if they have injuries to a certain position and noone in the top 24 can cover it.it would involve alot of bad luck in a position they havnt covered properly
