Appears he is on payts of $950 a week up until a decision is made on a contract in February. So all those unhappy with his signing dont need to worry it hasnt happened yet.

I think the approach taken to Grothe has been really good. He can put in everything he has got and may come good, and it costs us next to nothing unless he comes good.

signing kind of sends the wrong message to young locals and other emerging talents. the club is basically saying that they'd rather take a punt on paying small money for a guy who used to be kinda ok but who hasn't played for a while than take a punt on paying small money for a guy who has been working hard to get such an opportunity. that's not something i really agree with but whatever.

I agree, signing him before even making an announcement on Fekis prospects is ****ty. It's a slap in the face to feki, who worked hard last year and didn't do too badly, either.

I'm hearing ya Deathy,
But big picture. Smart play by the Sharks.
We could really have a HUGE win if we get a fast blockbusting winger on our hands next year, with a bit of mongrel.
Whens the last time the Sharks had a winger like that?
Fingers crossed EGJ Comes up with the goods in 2014 for us

see where you are coming from there and can understand people thinking that. i understand that feki had basically come to terms until he got picked for the world cup. his contract would have been re-negotiated by now and im sure will be signed when he gets back.

I can't see Feki going unsigned as Grothe is such a long shot. Hopefully it will be good competition between the two.
