Official Cronulla Sharks Board + Management

It's so weird he ever became #1 ticketholder.

He's on record stating he's not a sports fan, and later saying he is a life long Canterbury fan.

He only used his fan status for publicity needs, I hope we got something out of the relationship

If it's true that any publicity is good publicity, we got plenty out of it

I think he was always just a rugby union fan.

And we didn't get anything out of it... in fact, the reverse, we weren't able to get any grants at all because of him being involved.

P.S. #1 ticketholder should just be a 1-year thing, that saves issues like this.

Have to have someone else to give the title to though

I think you can either auction it off, or just choose lower profile community figures/sportspeople, or only award it some years.

But either way there is a risk associated with it, so maybe it's better to scrap it entirely.

I’m sure @Sir Chadley would gladly take the mantle

But seriously, we could offer it to a sponsor on a yr by yr basis if we don’t have a celebrity or high profile figure to call our #1

They might be able to market it to their benefit whilst sponsoring us which MAY help attract future or retain existing sponsors down the track. 🤷‍♂️

Just a wild, left field thought.

Yeah I'd be on board for this, give them a mint seat(s) and they can raffle them off to employees.

Would do a bit to make up for lack of corporate boxes.

Sutherland Shire Council approves rezoning of Sylvanvale site at Kareela to allow flats

This may be a tiny step towards Sharks@Kareela having some more development around the clubhouse, way down the track. Sylvanvale is almost across the road, though very different sites, and setback from Bates Drive behind the school. It may contribute as a precedent though, and considered when they look at the surrounding neighbourhood in a DA.

I thought Gow was her Stepdad?
Naa , Gow was her real dad
She went to Laguna Street Primary school prior to her parents divorce.

Macpherson was born Eleanor Nancy Gow in Killara, New South Wales, on March 29, 1964, the daughter of entrepreneur and sound engineer Peter Gow, a former president of the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, a Sydney rugby league team, and Frances Gow, a nurse.[6] She is of Scottish descent.[citation needed] Macpherson's parents divorced when she was 10 years old, and she moved with her mother and two siblings. Her mother later remarried, and a clerical mistake in registering at her new school meant that her surname was changed from Gow to Macpherson, her stepfather's surname.
