Merch and gameday seems low.

they need to be different when it comes to merch. Gameday experience might get better once the club openS.

AGM tonight for Sharks Leagues & Sharks Football Club , 7pm at Sharks at Kareela.

In addition to maybe a sausage roll & party pie its a good chance to get all the latest & accurate info ahead of Buzz & his mates .

So no $16 Democracy sausage sizzles then?

I heard “The bigmarn” Brohman and Gal complaining about them on election day

With the view of the Sharks brand being part of the A-League I support this investment.

It is absolutely true that most of the A-League Clubs struggle financially, this is because of poor management decisions. I can speak about the Brisbane Roar/ Suncorp Stadium Contract. To break even, the Roar needed an average crowd of 15,000 per game - that was never going to happen.

The TV deal for the A-League has been a disaster, so they will learn from that and be far more professional at the next Contract.

Our advantage is we already have the infrastructure and professional sports management systems in place. I wouldn’t only see this Club as a regular participant but one of the strongest teams in the competition!

It wouldn’t surprise to see history repeat where a couple of AFL Clubs may also consider aligning with this competition.

I can't ever see many A League clubs being profitable.

Remember the only reason most NRL clubs make money is because the NRL themselves give each club ~14m annually.

That's only possible because of the broadcasting deal. The A League will never have a big deal.

Yes, plenty of people play soccer but most don't give a **** about the A League. We keep hearing about how it's a sleeping giant. I'm calling bullshit on that.

kind of designed to fail at the moment with the better players motivated to go play elsewhere

A-league needs some good free to air tv rights deals. Will it happen. Probably at some point. No idea when though!

Yep, I would agree with that. People just need exposure to the game, it's almost an underground movement. It's of a decent enough quality that people would watch if they could and their friends had an interest.

That and getting rid of all of the ******** fans the game seems to hvae relied on and protected.

As Australia's population grows there will be more and more of a market for it. I think there is plenty of room. Not to mention a lot of TV sucks and if is better than garbage shows like Married at First sight etc.

While I have never seen an episode it seems like from a tv channel/advertising perspective that show does not suck at all.

Happy to keep not watching it myself though

It's far and away the most played sport in the country. If it hasn't taken advantage of that market buy now it never will.

We've made the World Cup how for close to the last 20 years.

Plus th best players don't play in this country.

@Capital_Shark will disagree but it will never be much more than what it is.
