He won't be waiting until Nicho or Moylans contract has finished.
Anyone snapping at him will have to offer a starting role or pay big money to a backup. I don't think anyone is hunting him after 1 game. If they are good luck to him & them.

From memory the reason he re-signed was there weren't any bites.

Braydon Trindall the next big thing got no offers and Chad Townsend the worst halfback ever to play NRL no other club would ever signed is a rich man

He's been improving even in his bench role.

Self belief and realising that he just needs to play his role.

Fitz is trying to build his confidence. His comments in the presser, "I believe in him", were made for a reason.
Disillusioned with Jesus ?

Not sure. I think he went to Super League. Is apparently coming back soon.
Heard he was spending some time out of the game. Geez the judiciary was tough on him

Yeah I know, it's not like he is some crazy talent who singlehandedly just beat the Storm though.
Right now Moylan is playing better and we can get him on a good price, we also have other promising youngsters who are 18+ months away from being NRL ready.

Only reason to prioritise Trindall now would be if Fitz sees him as a much better partner for Hynes.
By all reports Hynes and Moylan love their partnership together and Fitz does see Hynes as a (developing) halfback.
Hynes has only started two more games in the halves than Trindall has and Trindall certainly hasn't killed it every single game he plays at half.
Hynes polled 2 votes playing as our 7 just last week.

Trindall currently signed for next year anyway. IMO he's a player who would be wise not to race off to sign by mid November unless someone throws stupid money at him. Better to get into first quarter of next season and see how things are playing out.
Otherwise he risks being Metcalf mk2 - frozen out of Sharks NRL side and watching your **** new club keep signing competition for you
I feel like it’s only a matter of time before he gets a start somewhere, there must be a long term plan with Trindall and there is a reason why he keeps getting picked and it wouldnt be because Fitz wants him to play for the jets- Otherwise Fitz would keep him at NSW cup

It’s a good position for the club to be in at the moment but also one that should be handled well because he can easily be a pretty good halfback at NRL if given a decent amount of time there, his defence has improved ten fold already

That's the question I also have, why is he being selected on the bench? For what purpose? Moylan cover? Maybe. Utility? He isn't a utility.

The club surely has a plan for him, I'd just like to understand what that is.

Fitz must have wondered why too. He played 80 for the Jets last week, and would have again this week if he wasn't needed for Nicho, I suspect.

Fitz has mostly preferred to keep spine cover on the bench, last week he specifically said he wanted Trindall doing 80 in Jets ready to cover for Nicho this week.

Absolutely cannot complain at all about this guys game on Thursday. He did everything that was asked of him and more. Some brutal defence to boot.

He was impressive

Far less frantic and frustrated too

Will do his confidence the world of good - other than goal kicking he was on point

Still had a run or two on the 4th last didn't make much sense, but very solid outing otherwise. I'm glad this kid doesn't look to be headed down the Flanno Jnr route

Agreed.

I was really impressed with BT’s overall game on Thursday.

Not a great night with the boot for whatever reason but we know he is a much better goal kicker than that.

I don't mind his runs near the line, they look pretty dangerous and keep the defense on it's toes. If he doesn't run it now and then it's one less thing for the defense to worry about with him and they can just rush him and try to wack him making a pass or kick

Moylan and Hynes run it on the 4th as well in the abscense of other options or if they see half a chance

There is a solid footy player in there, well done to tonight. I think he is a class down from Moylan, but he held his own & then some tonight.
