Listening to coachโ€™s press conference, interesting he says Trindall has the potential to be a very solid halfback and is happy to be able to keep nurturing that.

Without taking it too literally, he said halfback, so do we think he means that or does he mean in the halves in general?

Here's a fun narrative for your Saturday morning. Kennedy leaves for a better offer... Nicho goes to fullback, Tricky and Moylan are then the halves. Moylan stays for a year or two, then Dykes/Iro is perfectly primed to move into fullback with Nicho returning to the halves alongside Tricky.

Interesting. Instead of disrupting Hynes, leave him in the halves and move kade to fullback next year.

It's not as strong a side though. You'd have a rookie coming off a year sidelined at fullback. Give the bloke a year to recover and improve and he'd slot straight in.

(I'm not necessarily endorsing this narrative, it's just a bit of fun)

Yeah I understand and agree. I just wouldnโ€™t move Hynes just for 1 year

In what areas was Trindall better than Moylan tonight? Goal kicking?? I like Trindall but Moylan showed why he is the preffered option. But if we are looking at areas to improve, Id say our fowards are all off bar BHU and Nikora. Teig is spending way to much time running at little guys who all seem to tackle him with ease.

Im going to take it that your post above was actually serious and not sarcastic.

In literally every area possible you want from your halves - Game management, defence, ball playing, in game kicking, leading the team around, the goal kicking

heโ€™s a junior who got us closer last week to beating the same team that smashed us in the finals and just helped us get over a full strength top 4 side at home

Heโ€™s leading us around very well..

I think its worth noting that last year we were criticized for relying on him too much. Also critics said his Dally M points were a result of Nicho doing absolutely everything.

But this year thus far has proven that wrong. Great side without him and with him.

Ok so Trindall is signed for 23, 24 and 25. Moyza will be 34 by then.

Fitz surely has Trindall in his future plans. I think from next year Trindall will be starting with Hynes.

Trindall is ready to go and would sign on for that long without knowing this.

He'd be following instructions. The next second rower who is in charge of the game plan will be the first.

I'm a big fan of Tricky but anyone thinking Moylan is getting dropped is kidding themselves.

I agree but im concerned this means Trindall is going to be shifted back to the bench for 5-10 minute stints a game again instead of playing 80 minutes in the halves which would be better for him.
