So we are bound to lose Fifita from what I am reading?

No.

Sharks are $150 k short of the figure his manager has put on him. Didn't say the money isn't there. He's on $370k a year now. The problem may be if someone comes over the top of what he's been valued at. They'll just have to back end another player

Fifita will stay. So often in this situation there is a lot of argey bargey all designed to milk the club for as much as they can, but in the end big names stay more than they go. If we can't afford him souths can't surely.

We need to pay his market value and get it done now.

We saw with Carney how if it drags on , and we ended up paying 200K more than what he was originally happy with , because of late , upgraded offers. (Thanks Gus)

Regardless of what goes on off the field, he is gunna fetch coin. I dont wanna lose fifita at the expense of him. Id rather put a small offer out there to ulugia or someone with a bit of talent.
Although id rather test out brown holmes gagan etc too

l for one would love to see Fergo go to the Dogs. If he runs to form he would be great on the field and not so good off. If the big boys didn't like Barba and with the way Fergo fights . Wow, could really mess the club up and l now have quite a few bucks to say they will win the least games @ 50/1.

We don't need him here. The club has 4 or 5 choices in the centres and who knows one of the kids could be the answer.Comp hasn't started yet.

I'm sick of the Ferguson saga, the sooner he signs with any club whether that's us or he ends up being deregistered the better, there are arguments for either side how good he is for a team, whether he deserves another chance etc etc.

The thing is if you have heard him talk recently in interviews or whatever you get the feeling he still hasn't got it & he will stuff up again. Yeh, if we sign him he will help us win games, he'll probably even win us some games alone but imo he will also bring our club into disrepute, the million dollar question is what level of disrepute is manageable.

I was 100% for signing him up until a couple of weeks ago but I agree with what you said in bold. He has shown absolutely no remorse imo. So a simple risk analysis tells me that the likelihood of him stuffing up again is high and the consequences would probably mean being deregistered by the NRL.
