after watching ricky leutele stroll through Lyon, im happy to back him over fergo.

Such a shame he missed so much of last season through injury, he would be such a weapon now with that experience under his belt. Lets hope he's a starter come round 1

he will be the first centre picked. if he is not, we should protest sydney fc style....

I hope so, he was keeping Pom out last year if I'm not mistaken, not that that's any achievement but shows the coaching staff rate him.

If we did happen to snag Fergo a Center Pairing of Luetelle and Fergo would be extremely deadly.

Add Beau to one wing and let the others fight it out for the remaining wing spot.

I do think that even with just the addition of Ashyford and Luetelle being available for selection after recovering from injury, that that alone significantly improves our back line. No Pom as a weakness and Luetelle adding some spark in attack, Just that one change, IMO is a big improvement.

Throw in a couple young guns and the further development of Feki and we should be more competitive in the 1-5. Our biggest strength will still be our forwards and the actual depth of our roster.

I was 100% for signing him up until a couple of weeks ago but I agree with what you said in bold. He has shown absolutely no remorse imo. So a simple risk analysis tells me that the likelihood of him stuffing up again is high and the consequences would probably mean being deregistered by the NRL.

I have an awful feeling it will be Wright and Ayshford. Surely we can't be that stupid though.

Hopefully the fact he was re-signed while injured for another couple of years indicates that he is well regarded by the coaches and he gets first crack.

I am a fan of Jono but Ricky is three times the centre. He is class the sort of player that Carney can hit with a long ball in space and he will score more times then he doesn't.

He is our Jennings (just not as quick) but I am a bit of a fan boy for Ricky.

Damn I thought I read he and Toops signed for 2 years. Hopefully he stays on the park and we lock him up.

If we or the coaching staff think he is the goods it would be smart to extend him now rather than let him play well & all the others take notice.

Yes we can HB and I reckon this will be the centre pairing. I was never a big fan of Leutele, didn't understand what the fuss was all about but watching him on Friday night you could see he is all class. I would definitely have him there but being out for most of last year, I don't reckon they will risk him Round 1. It will be Wright and Ayshford and all they need to do is slip up once and Leutele should be in there.

I will be delighted if Leutele is selected for round 1.

Rumour doing the rounds is that Stapo is getting a little jealous about your apparant man crush on Leutele.

Well i will finally have a season of Leutele so stapo will have to take a back seat.

Stapo i still love you but its time to move over.

catching a few nsw cup games? IMO thats where we will see ricky and stapo. stapo definitely, but you can just see sharp taking a flanno like approach and going with jono and ayshford in the centres. sad fact of life

Stapo will be playing NSW cup besides injury, if ricky isn't there we riot. ****ing disgraceful we even have to cope with the idea he might not be there.

Our backline will be

Gordon
Ryan
Leutele
Ayshford
Jono

$50 on that being our round 1 backline unless injury occurs
