He was their best player by far, I can see why he got a pointI think it's fair. Ben Hunt almost single-handedly kept them in the game.

Hunt at 7, Nicho at 6 would be amazing. He was their best player by far, I can see why he got a point
The question is - and I hope the judges know the answer - is it a vote for Best Player on the Field or for Most Valuable Player.Hunt wasn't even in the top 5 best players on the field that night but a player from the losing team usually scores a sympathy vote or so it doesn't look too biased / one sided
Dally M's is such a flawed process anyway, the judges aren't even consistent for each game week to week and well known players tend to attract votes at the expense of lesser know ones at times even if they had strong games (ahem Ikavalu) . At least they didn't forget Talakai who had a monster game. Best on field with Hynes.
As like a one off I agree but overall I like Nicho in the 7. He wants the pressure & challenge of being the man and so far it looks like he will wear it wellHunt at 7, Nicho at 6 would be amazing.
I suppose that’s where it can all get lost. The question is - and I hope the judges know the answer - is it a vote for Best Player on the Field or for Most Valuable Player.
Did he play better than those 5 halfbacks?I know it doesn’t mean anything but for the NRL Team of the week, only three Sharks were included in those you could vote for.
Matt Ikuvalu
Nicho Hynes
Blayke Brailey
Yet you could vote for Ben Hunt if you wanted to. His inclusion meant 5 half backs who won their games were not put up for nomination.
I had this discussion with someone about the 3-2-1 when they voted for Royce Hunt after playing 12 minutes. He said Royce was the player who best did his role - which I thought was a fair call. Not everyone is asked to do the same job, so you can't really ever compare apples with apples. The question is - and I hope the judges know the answer - is it a vote for Best Player on the Field or for Most Valuable Player.
Yeah, not what I'd vote for but I can't fault that logic. Certainly I would consider that to an extent, but probably not just for 15 minutes.I had this discussion with someone about the 3-2-1 when they voted for Royce Hunt after playing 12 minutes. Yeah that was me. I think I agree it should be most valuable player vote and my focus has since shifted that way.I had this discussion with someone about the 3-2-1 when they voted for Royce Hunt after playing 12 minutes. Spot on mate. It’s really not well thought out. But it’s not a huge deal.If there was a better forward over the weekend than Talakai someone please tell me cause it must have been special.
and I actually watched quite alot of the games this round an I don't recall seeing any as consistent and damaging over 80 mins as Sifa
100% but you know. It’s not the best 3, but most valuable to their team and in all games for under 12 and younger, we must give everyone credit for their contribution. If there was a better forward over the weekend than Talakai someone please tell me cause it must have been special.

Haha - love it when the kids ask why there is no MoM Maccas voucher in game 15, after amazingly all 14 players in the squad have each been the best player on the field once that year.100% but you know. hence B Hunt got 1 vote.
he will at least have some comfort in the 3 votes I gave him in the SF voting pole!
Don't underestimate the motivational power of MaccasHaha - love it when the kids ask why there is no MoM Maccas voucher in game 15, after amazingly all 14 players in the squad have each been the best player on the field once that year.
