Well done burgess

I have backed Fifs for the last few years even when many a fan were saying he was done. I still saw promise in him and have felt he could still add value if he could stay fit and on the field even if he was never going to get back to being the player he was.

Regardless, Andrew has done better than even I was expecting this early in the season and I am happily and pleasantly surprised by the level of his performances. He's a genuine forward selection again, not just depth. I'm interested to see how good he can get throughout the year or if he more so just maintains this sort of level.

Tolman I really like, was prob the first to put my hand up few years back wanting to sign him but I will admit I thought he might regress, he looked wrecked back end of last season making the tackles for half a team. Very happy to see him plugging away and looking keen and energetic. He's 33, still some NRL life left in him. Seems to look after himself.
His output last season was actually really good. He just has to play limited minutes. He's on par with Hunt for me - and obviously the coach has him a little in front of Royce. Purely as a middle forward I also would take him over Talakai (not taking in to account utility value).

As probably the #1 Fifita criticiser I actually agree Fifita probably plays Fifitas role better than Talakai would, I’d probably say reputation and experience give him the edge for me, but yeah I think I agree.

If I include my old friend cap value it swings back to Talakai though. And Talakais role incorporating consideration for his versatility definitely isn’t for Fifita.

Rep and experience I think are the main things he has in his favour over Royce currently too.

If Williams being fully fit bumps Fifita out of side Fifita and Royce would be directly competing in Cup to be next man up when an opportunity arrives… sounds like a **** time to be an opposition cup half…

For sure! Conceivably when Wilton and Graham are both back you could end up with a Jets side featuring Fifita, Talakai, Hunt, Pele and Hazleton.

Kyle Flanagan might develop the flu that week.

Mentions Tricky is there for whatever role he is needed for in case things go pear shaped

Explains Moylan and Hynes were expected round 1 combo and Tracey was expected first choice left centre but due to some offseason surgery they just felt he wasn't quite ready for round 1

I'd give moylan 5 minutes and if he plays like the last 2 week's I'd bring on the aboriginal johns
We tanking for draft picks?

Shouldn't it be the other way around? Start with Tricky and then bring Moylan on NFL style to ice the game at the 77 minute mark.

Didn't you read the memo burg, tricky is far more superior than moylan, if tricky plays 77 minutes we will already be up for 50 and moylan will somehow cost us the game in those last 3 minutes

It's always fun when a poster gets an unhealthy obsession with a player/coach.

Jiz Biscuit or whatever his name was with Albert Kelly, teflon with Flanno, Dean Collis' mum ... sure I'm missing a few.

Could be wet tomorrow night, will be interesting if that changes our bench.
Likely to get more slippery but you'd think it won't matter much, worst case surely we can bring some towels?

Replying to what you actually meant it could go either way, back Trindall to get some extra mobility and ball playing in to turn their big boys around, or go the fourth forward to keep the game plan simple and pound away
