cmon man, sticky just needs some origin rep players in his squad, he would love more rep players remember.

Brandy just taking the pressure of his panthers buddies Maloney and Cleary.

if anything I think he is putting pressure on those 2 not taking it off, he wouldn't be impressed with the performances from any panthers players

Brandy seems pretty filthy at the club right now, rightly so they are in a terrible spot

So the Sharks have a pretty decent draw over origin.

- Bye the weekend before in to game 1 -
- Eels @ home
- Raiders away
- Everyone gets the weekend off for game 2 -
- Bulldogs away
- Brisbane @ home without their origin players
- We then get a 6-day turnaround to play Melbourne away 3 days after origin

Considering we are likely to have no origin players we should have a healthy and well-rested team coming in to that Broncos/Storm double. If this team is any good they should be top 5 at worst coming out of round 17.

It would be funny if Qld picked Capewell and we "replaced" him in the lineup with Woods and Graham.

I'm guessing Brisbane won't be missing too many players this year?

They'll still pick plenty.

Gillett and Oates are certainties. Milford could nab a bench spot. Qld selectors are all ex-Broncos and Lockyer is a Broncos board members so guys like Fifita or Ofahengaue could get picked too. Haas could also be a smokey for NSW.

Logic for Qld is always to pick the key players and then fill the team up with Broncos, Cowboys and Storm players. If you still need more after that you grab guys from the Titans or someone who used to play fro one of those other 3 teams. Christian Welch will be picked on this logic. I could even see them throwing Corey Allan in there over Corey Thompson. Ex-Broncos get priority.

Qld will be ...

Ponga, Oates, Chambers, Gagai, Munster, Morgan, Hunt, Granville, Gilllett. Arrow, Wallace, Kaufusi, Welch, Papalii in some combination ... and three other players.

They won't pick Darius Burgess? Or has he retired from rep football?

Darbs has retired from rep footy.

Welch ACL - gone for the year. Opens up another spot.

They will add at least 2 middle forward and 2 others. Assuming McGuire is fit he will be one.

Hard to say what happens with those other 2 spots ..

Morgan 4, Hunt 7.. Gagai plays wing and they add a utility
Morgan 7, Hunt 14... Gagai plays centre and they add a winger

Picking McGuire at 9 and bringing Granville off the bench after 20 is also an option.

reed mahoney should be the number 9
Sure - As long as you are only interested in scoring tries and not concerned with stopping them.

Kid’s a weapon in attack but his defence is a long way off ready. If Morgan plays in the centres I could see them starting Granville and giving Mahoney 15 minutes off the bench to blood him.

If I was choosing the origin team atm I’d go something like this;

Tedesco
Trbojevic
Mitchell
Cotric
Addo Carr
Keary
Reynolds
Klemmer
Cook
Haas
Trbojevic
Frizell
Cordner

Radley
Vaughan
Crichton
Murray

18th man
C Walker

Thoughts ??

Swap J Turbo and Cordner. Swap Vaughan with Haas.

Cotric hasn’t ever been a regular NRL centre. Big risk.

That’s also a pretty small bench. You either need to add another prop or you need to re-shuffle to have Frizell play there.

Agree with these notes.

Don’t think you can play all three of Radley, Murray & Crichton. I think I’d go Klemmer over either Murray or Crichton unless Fittler is comfortable Murray can cover hooker instead of Radley.

Yeah - I think you pick either Radley or Murray and bring in a prop. Maybe Maclean?

Fair points, I think Murray is a must have though, absolutely brilliant player. Radley is made for origin too though, so it’s a tough one. Plus we still have the likes of Graham, Woods on the sidelines... No other prop really stood out to me, that’s why I left it like that considering all those guys can play big minutes but I suppose if one goes down they would be in a bit of trouble.

I reckon Cotric could handle the centres. Otherwise go safe and pick Morris. Ramien if his form was better would be a good shout.

I personally think it is a few too many changes, I would also bring back some experience to fill some of the changes so to only blood one or two players per game. I would prob go with.

Tedesco
Ferguson (Turbo has had too many injury probems this year)
Mitchell
Josh Morris (Cotric I wouldn't debut him out of position)
Addo Carr
Keary
Cleary, he wont make or break the side, but he will be in origin for a while
Klemmer
Cook
Vaugan Haas (I think he needs another year)
Cordner
Frizell
J Turbo

Radley
Prior
T Sims
Crichton/ Murray
