There really is a feel of generational change in Origin at the moment.

Those match ups should be quite entertaining.

Ben Hunt as a starting 9 would be a disaster. His dodgy defence at 9 was probably the difference in game 1 last year.

McCullough will be picked if fit (4 week injury apparently).

If not - I’d personally go with Mahoney, but knowing Qld they will stick a forward (e.g. McGuire) in to start at 9 and then bring Hunt on later.

... and then as usual they’ll fill up the free spots with Broncos and Storm players even if they are not playing well and/or just came out of the Q Cup.

No bird, Gus just put josh Morris in his game 1 team.. wouldn’t let anyone down that’s for sure.

I watched the Morris boys Origin highlights the other day. Was good watching.
Doubt he’s ever had a bad game for NSW or Aus and he’s in great form atm - only about 10 minutes against Brisbane we had anything bad to say about him.

Morris would bring some much needed experience to that team too. Some fresh faces in both sides atm

Not watching what happened.

Mitchell going in for the try, made a dive and pulled his groin by the looks. I reckon he hurt himself in that one. Could have just put it down or a sliding dive, nope, had to do a big roll move. Did it himself.
