The Lurker makes some good points about talks regarding relocation. It would be hard to attract players. Also, would leave the current squad in a spot of bother. For example if we had to move and our squad has signed a contract under the premise that they would play in the Shire. I wouldn't be happy about that.

Relocation is huge. The players and staff will walk. Sponsors will walk, and in all likelihood either due cronulla or the nrl. Members and fans will boycott and be up in arms. If only the sharks had a celebrity backer!

Engadine, gods country.
i hope the club does sue the telegraph. but paying the bill for lawyers would be a hurdle to even get started down that path, and i believe thats why the tele prints the crap, they know we would struggle to mount an offense against them.

There's always the option of a class action backed by the members.

that could narrate films about his own players? like russell crowe.

honestly, membership drive has to be massive next season. Hopefully ever 1 of the current 10,000 odd members renew, and many more sign up too. If we can pretty much say to the NRL, and more importantly the media, heres some solid membership numbers from a team that 2 years ago had like 5000 members. It will shut them up big time.

Its spot on.

Look at Blake Ferguson for example. 3 years ago or whatever he left, and for what reason (other than to win a premiership with Canberra)? The uncertainty.

Imagine players like Carney, Gallen, Lewis etc. You cant expect them to just pack their **** and say yep, we will be the Mt Isa Sharks. I have no doubt if any team got relocated to central queensland, star players would cut
