yeah i saw it too, i was having a talk to a bloke i work with thats heavily into union and is convinced that all referees influence the game in order to make themselves look better, and they do that by squaring up penalty counts
it's incredibly obvious. not only by squaring up penalties, but by giving the 50-50 calls to the team who needs them.
pretty sure i felt a moment during the game on the weekend, just into the second half where a couple of 50-50 calls went against us and all of a sudden we were on the back foot. i felt it, like a premonition or some **** that i had just witnessed the exact moment when the refs had gone "**** it, the Sharks are going too good, Warriors too ****, we better get on the square up or we'll cop it at the press conference".
it needs to stop. there needs to be a full colonial inquest into it and the offending refs charged with attempted match fixing
yep incredibly obvious, gives you the *****s when you've got a couple of quid on the team in front too

What the hell is a colonial inquest moth?
I have heard of a coronial inquest but I think its a bit harsh as not one ref has been killed yet but I am sure they are coming close.

the standard is been terrible. it is well know that ref decisions cost us two wins. lets hope they get the calls right in the finals

exactly, the NRL independent commission needs to send small men up inside the buttholes of all refs and find out why it is that they are so ****in ****

Refs are dead set ordinary this year but coaches play the "we got screwed by the ref" card way to often to either the hide the coaches bad tactics or the crappy play of their players, imagine if the refs or ref boss (Harrigan & Raper) come out after a game & hilighted the tactics or the bad reads in defence of players, dropped balls etc as to why in the refs opinion team A lost to team B.
Anyway sounds like I am a ref supporter which I am not but coaches like Toovey, Hasler & Sheens to name a few are serial whingers about refs & they do my head in as much as the bad calls by the refs.
