wade no , smith possibly but without previous offences i think he will get off

I think the other way around. When you're on the ground and a big bloke is lining you up it should be within your rights to put out a fend in self defence, otherwise you're a sitting duck.

He'll argue that he didn't mean to knock the aggressor out, just stop the impact of his momentum.

All the tackler had to do to complete the tackle was to place his hands on Jez but he was going in for a cheap hit.

Few things for mine are just that, he only has to complete the tackle by touching him. So why run in like a legend and jam him. Jarryd Hayne does the best job of not touching them, waiting for them to get up, then poach the ball.

Im still on the fence about whether he got knocked out or not. He got hit sure, then continued the tackle and wrestle, then laid face down and got the penalty. Im 100% sure he milked that like a new mums tit.

Yep I agree, there was no way he was knocked out.

Yep I agree he milked it, it was obvious.

Agree on that, was saying 'knocked out' because according to the papers he's suffering from concussion. The impact didn't look hard enough to cause concussion IMO

If club footy was played and ruled like it was back in the old days we would be an intimidating force right now but now the refs have made the game go soft, last night we were using good tactics, telling those "Baby Broncos" that this is the big league, the "NRL" now not the reserve grade and the NYC, trying to imtimidate them and the referees didnt like that tactic, thats how it was played back in the old days.

There was **** all impact ay. His head merely scraped the fist then down the arm. There was no straight on collision between the fist or arm and face so it can't have been too much. I'll call it as I saw it: the bloke laid down like a cheating ****

i have a prediction: tackling around the legs will soon be ruled for fear that ligaments may be torn.

There's the thing - should the clumsy **** that hits his head on the knee of the attacking player while tackling receive a penalty?

Yep i made a similar comment a while back, those tackles where the defender goes in wrong head hits the hip/thigh and gets KO'd...Do they get a penalty? It is getting a bit silly

spot on, if you can't penalise an attacking player over an accident in which the defender gets hurt, they shouldn't be able to penalise a defender if the attacking player accidently becomes unconscious. well maybe that's a bit harsh. maybe ok, give a penalty, but **** the judiciary off. they should only be ruling on instances with clear intent such as swinging arms etc. it's a contact sport, ****s are gunna get flogged from time to time. players shouldn't be getting sidelined and hence teams being severely disadvantaged over accidents that are purely the result of the nature of the game.

i saw that TK **** on tele today. he was clearly in favour of protecting the head at the expense of players involved in such accidents. no doubt because a) he's a **** wit and b) he hates the Sharks. man i hate that ****.
